This is a wonderful salt water reel! I wade fish and while I do my best not to dunk it, I’m short so salt happens sometimes. I rinse it after use and take care of it, but my previous one lasted years and still works so it will now be a backup reel to this one.

The drag is no where near the manufacturer specs of 20 pounds. It’s more like 11 pounds.

Great reel out of the box and it feels great, but after only two trips it isn’t reeling smooth at all now. There is a grinding going on. I have cleaned it and inspected it, but I can’t find the issue. I’ll stick with Lew’s moving forward.
