Looks as pictured. Size is pretty much in line with their measurements (always double check before buying). I have this on a windowsill and the lampshade diffuses the light pretty well when on. -1 star because you can’t lock the lampshade in place, so would not recommend it on a nightstand since any table movement moved the lampshade out of place and slightly tilted ... show more

This lamp is perfect. For those saying the lampshade is wobbly, there is a plastic ring that you are supposed to remove before placing the lampshade on. Once the lampshade is on, screw the ring back on to secure the lampshade.

This lamp was a bit smaller than I expected but it's nice and bright. i have it in my 390 sq.ft. studio and it does a good job of providing light to my space with all other lights out. The switch is on the cord so that may be an issue for some. This would work well as a light on a nightstand.
