My wife and I are guitar players，we have been looking for a right Soprano Ukulele for my son who has a deep interest in music, especially the string instrument. So, I bought this. He is very happy with this. Now, he has started the journey of learning ukulele. The wood used for the whole body is high quality and it is not a toy ukulele, it is an instrument which is suitable for the starter. The blackwood fingerboard and bridge looks so cool and like my professional guitar. The workmanship is fine. It is smooth to touch and the finishing is very neat. The strings are high quality which can be played well after you tune the ukulele with Everjoys digital tuner. The color string is much easier for a starter to learn and remember the different note. The songbook is quite useful for a starter to know and to use the ukulele. There are also quite many songs to learn in it. The media could not be loaded. This honey color 21 inch Ukulele is a nice kit for beginner. For beginner, most of music teachers will suggest choose between Soprano (21 inch) or Concert (23 inch) Otherwise, the range can be small like pocket (16 inch) or big as contrabass (32 inch). This Ukulele was made from rosewood and basswood. All strings are made from Nylon. The weight is around 1 pound. Besides Ukulele, the kit also came with one storage bag, microfiber cloth, spare pick, string and etc. The digital tuner is very useful for me. I use it every time when I do the tuning. It is hard for me to get the correct tone. I need to spent at least half hour for tuning at the first week. It will be nightmare without the digital tuner. Now I use C6 TUNINGF: G4-C4-E4-A4. I am tuning my G string little higher for close harmony sound. The company offers 6 colors, I am glad that I pick the Honey one. The color fits me well. I owned this for over months, so far so good. I wish they also offer strap in this kit. It will help a lot when I play Ukulele. Without strap, it is easy to fall when I stand up to play. By the way tuning is needed for every musical instrument with strings. I did compare another one, it seems taking longer time for tuning. For people who hate tuning or pick up about sound, please beware that before you make any decisions. Again we paid for what we get. All the words above might only apply to beginner of Ukulele, music is different for everyone. Every one will have own judge.

Like all new stringed instrument, tuning took time because of the new strings, so don’t pay attention to the reviews stating that the ukulele won’t stay in tune. It stays in tune after about a week of playing, sooner depending on amount of use. It’s a good beginner ukulele. Stays in tune and has a decent sound. The action is set low so it’s very easy to play. I have a nicer but more expensive ukulele that I don’t want to take to the beach or camping. I paid $32 for this beginner package, which is a bargain for what you get. Yes, it was on sale! The case alone would cost you $15. If you are a beginner, this is all you will need.

Not a horrible uke but tuning it is irritating!!! Granted I’m told that a uke has to be tuned a lot but some strings won’t tune period. It’s still not bad for a kid or beginner bc at least you learn from it but best to go buy a better one if you know for sure you are serious. Tips tune in chrono not uke to start. That helps some. I got the yellow finish. It’s not bad for price. Not sure how it will hold up tho but I’ll be buying better as I get better.

This is a Christmas gift, so I have not heard the sound it makes yet (I'll update this if I remember to). However, the packaging was very professional. I opened the box to make sure all the parts looked to be in good condition before wrapping and it was very carefully wrapped. All the pieces were in a bag and contained well. All parts look to be good quality with maybe the one exception being the "travel bag". It appears pretty cheap. I would probably want to get a padded case to carry it in for traveling. Other than that, I'm very happy with this gift.
