The media could not be loaded. Great chairs once we got them assembled. Only 1 scuff mark on the back of one chair but we can use paint to cover it. Assembly was somewhat difficult, especially getting the screws lined up with the holes. My hands hurt now after helping hubby assemble six. Some of the holes were very difficult to line up & tough to screw in but we persevered & got it done. Plenty of spare bolts & washers. They look great around our patio table. ... show more

I was very anxious about ordering patio chairs online, but these were well made and very easy to assemble. I used Loctite to secure the bolts which probably made the assembly be longer than normal, but will guarantee the bolts will not loosen over time.

This set contains 4 outside chairs and a metal table. I highly recommend this outdoors table and chair set because the chairs don’t ever get wet because of the tiny holes the cover contains. This set can be very useful during outdoor parties and it really easy to install. I highly recommend!

First some background...I have been a mechanic/technician (HVAC, Building Automation, etc) for 30 years. I have a garage full of almost any tool a person would need and I know how to use them. Now for the chairs...The black frame pieces had some scuffs/scratches when I removed them from the box. Not a deal breaker for me because they are for our outside deck, they're going to get scuffed up. The directions are pictures only, no words, but fairly poor pictures. I looked at the chair pictures on Amazon and it helped a lot. They do not provide a sufficient number of longer screws because the instructions show using the M6X12 screws (shortest included screws) to secure the piece that connects the bottom of the legs at the back. These screws are too short. I included pics of a longer screw placed into end until it just touched the threaded nut. I marked the screw with red tape & notice the tape protrudes into the leg piece to the depth that the machine screw head will go. I also included a pic with the M6X12 screw next to the marked screw illustrating the recommended screws are too short (be prepared to buy M6X25 screws from local hardware store). Also, they included flat washers that are almost exactly the same diameter at the screw heads...useless washers. They serve no purpose. They should have been lock washers. Lastly, the most annoying and difficult assembly step was fastening the joint that connect the chair back, bottom and arm together. I included pics showing the right arm & left arm connections (taken from behind chair). Notice the bracket for the left arm is fairly straight, but the bracket for the right arm needs to bend out significantly to be on outside of back piece frame (I don't know why the pics rotate when uploaded). Very difficult to get screw started straight in the treadolet. Speaking of threadolets, some of them have threads that are not "clean" or precise. The screws thread in with much resistance causing a person to believe they are cross-threading. Mine were not...they tightened down with the included allen wrench (very cheap allen wrench as usual - use your own) but check screw alignment carefully before tightening. I also included a pic showing the difficult right arm connection after tightening screw, the bracket straightens out fairly good. Lastly, they emit a noise when you rock slightly in the assembled chairs. It's not a squeak, but it is a noise. Recommendations: 1. Do not buy these chairs, they are not worth the price. 2. If you do buy them, expect some cosmetic blemishes out of the box. 3. Allow plenty of time for assembly and have adequate strength to line up connections properly. 4. Do not tighten any screws until all pieces are assembled. 5. Plan on needing additional screws and possibly a tap for M6 threads. 6. When making the back, seat, arm connections, start the screw on whichever connection has the bracket bending out, then start the screw for the other one. The only reason I kept these chairs is they come packed into large boxes (I didn't want the hassle of repackaging and shipping back) and my wife really liked the color and style. ... show more

    • A couple of assembly tips that will save you some grief

These assemble into pretty comfortable chairs. I worry about their durability though. Time will tell. Assembly is in four steps. Quite perfunctory until Step 3. Here are a few tips to make Step 3 easier. 1. The bolt metal and the threads they screw into seem to be on the soft side. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Else, you will strip the bolt. Ask me how I know... They do provide one extra bolt for each size (four sizes). In fact, after assembling two of these, my recommendation is to do everything by hand and then when it's completely assembled, go back and CAREFULLY tighten all of the the bolts with the hex wrench supplied. The machining of the wrench and bolt heads is not super precise, so be careful. 2. When you get to Step 3, position the chair so that it is tilted forward 90 degrees (sitting on its front). I tried multiple positions for Step 3 and that was by far the best. Make sure you have plenty of light to see what you are doing. Having all the other bolts a tad loose makes a huge difference. 3. I found it helpful to do Step 4 before Step 3--again tightening only by hand. That's it! ... show more

I love everything about these chairs except they’re not the color shown and described. Also I had to purchase screws because one screw and bolt was missing and one hole was drilled crooked.

High quality chairs that are very comfortable and the backs are high enough to lay your head back (important for an old dozer like me!) Love the springy rocking. Shipping was much faster than expected. I assumed, since I was told 10-14 days, that the chairs were on a container ship stopped off the California coast. Assembly, though is another story until I used the Amartisan 20-Piece Hex Head Allen Wrench Drill Bit Set (sold on Amazon - $15). The hex wrench included with the chairs is a POS. Using the hex bit inserted into a screwdriver was a god-send! First chair took 40 minuted. Went and got hex bit, next chair 20 minutes and last chair 15. ... show more

I bought 6 of these. They are very comfortable and affordable and we like them. But there are some quality issues. One of the arms has a really rough spot right where your hand would go. See pic. Assembly isn’t hard, but it isn’t easy either. After assembling a few I figured out some shortcuts. The screws that secure the crossbar on bottom back (on the ground basically) are too short to get the threads started, so I had to swap some other spares into those spots. But there weren’t enough for all the spots so I had to leave them with no screws. Fortunately, the crossbar doesn’t need to support much load. ... show more
