I bought this for my job and we needed something that would last a while. The seat is not too soft, but not too hard either. The fabric is a suede/ pleather material and is more of a charcoal color than a true black like the metal " legs". There is a grainy material inside the base that is not fully contained inside it...leaked out inside the box it was shipped in....not all of it...I guess it's to help keep the stool weighted down...but by itself the stool is definitely not light in weight. Arrived sooner than expected which is a bonus! Too soon to say if it is great for the price...time will tell.

Have 3 boys, these are perfect on our Long Island for meals/games/homework. Love love them. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Seats wipe off easy even with 3 boys messes. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Bar stools are easy to assemble but need washers to secure seat. Nice quality. However, one of the suport bars had two of the holes on the wrong side of the bar. The 4 holes are supposed to be 2 on each end of the same side. Telephone number which was printed on a tag that came with each bar stool is fake. Just rings and doesn’t exist according to phone company. So you are SOL.
