Great camera, I was going for the FX30 but I said to myself it's best to go with the latest FX Line which was the FX2.The FX2 has Ai Autofocus and full frame. Only thing I hate is 4k60p frame crop, It would be great if 4k DCI didn't crop out at 48fps. I think 48fps slow motion is good for me, but since I wanted FX30 I just shoot sometimes in S35 right through. Low light performance is decent at 4000 ISO vs 12800 ISO on FX3 and 2500 on FX30. I think If the FX2 could shoot raw internally and offer 4k60p would be a direct competitor for the Nikon ZR which I own by the way too. Overall wonderful camera, I love the how it feels in my hand and the light codec it comes with for me do my social media reels. I heard a firmware is going to come out soon hopefully we get 4k ... show more

When the Sony FX2 hit the market, it created a huge buzz—mostly driven by negative criticism from some content creators. However, I honestly believe many of those opinions are misguided. In my view, the FX2 is one of the best full-frame cameras within Sony’s Cinema Line, especially considering its more accessible price point for a wider audience. The FX2 didn’t come to compete with its siblings—it has already earned its own place. It’s designed for a different segment of the market: new creators and enthusiasts who want to step into full-frame filmmaking with excellent performance and enter the Sony ecosystem without making such a heavy investment. And if there’s one thing that truly sets the FX2 apart, it’s its outstanding value for money. This is a good camera, I've used it a few times and the footage is good. It's an update from the FX30 in almost all ways. Viewfinder is a plus being you can angle it. This works very much like the fx3/30 BUT the 60 FPS has a crop. That doesn't bother me as I'm coming from the fx30 so this means I keep the 18-105 power zoom lens. It also takes photos so at times I don't need to bring two bodies. The fan prevents overheating so no concerns or issues if you are coming from the fx30. It could also be very appealing for A7IV video shooters. ... show more
