The PM6007 integrated current feedback amplifier powers 2x 45W (8 ohms RMS, 20Hz – 20kHz) to offer a refined audio experience. During the extensive tuning process, Marantz sound masters carefully refine and curate each component for optimal performance. Experience Hi-Res audio files exactly as intended through the following gold-plated inputs: 5 analog inputs, one coaxial input and two optical digital inputs. The newly updated, high-quality DAC AK4490 offers a cleaner sound for your enjoyment. The Current Feedback Amplifier technology provides wide-bandwidth and high-speed sound reproduction. In combination with the high current power supply, the PM6007's amplifier holds a large energy reserve to easily drive even the most demanding speakers. An advanced thermal compensation avoids memory distortion for clean amplification under any circumstances. The PM6007 features a new Hi-Res D/A conversion. It is equipped with a reference class AK4490 D/A converter, which provides up to 192-kHz/24-bit resolution for optimum fidelity with your Hi-Res audio file types. The power supply supports high current, high-speed Shottky Barrier Diodes and high current storage capacitors fed by a Toroidal Transformer that together provide wide dynamic range and low impedance drive capability. A Toroidal Transformer has several advantages over a normal EI core transformer. The highly efficient design delivers more power compared to the same-size EI core transformer. In addition, the shape of the Toroidal Transformer delivers low electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibration for better sound quality.

    • No-nonsense music amp. Really powerful.
This 45 watt amp has no issues driving my Vera VS05 speakers, which state they require a 50-120 watt amp. These speakers require some power to awaken. With the Denon 5.1 channel receiver the Marantz replaces, I had to crank the volume in order to get any detail out of them. Now, I can listen to lower volumes, and get a nice, detailed sound. If I can make analogy to an engine, I'd say this amp is "torquey". It does not struggle at lower volumes. And at mid-turn of the volume knob, it exceeds the volume produced by a 100 watt rated receivers. The detail, sound stage, and nuance sound excellent to my years. It is lively, but not overly bright. I really enjoy listening to music. I use the optical input, and to my years, the DAC is excellent. ... show more

Amazing amplifier. Perfect for analog audio sources including phono. Has a toroidal transformer for clean audio. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

this amp pales in comparison to a model 50 marantz. in fact i hated it....hardly any sub out signal. thin sounding. my old hk3370 receiver sounds better. not sure how it got all the good reviews.

This is a great amp that replaced the 50 year old Marantz amp in my stereo sound system and it works great. Everything played on the components connected to it sounds fantastic.

I have placed this in a 12 x 16 foot room. Massive wattage not needed due to smallish room, and minimal equipment footprint desired. Speakers are good bookshelves to that end. GoldenEar BRX. Streaming thru a generic DAC, I gotta say I'm impressed with sound quality and volume capabilities. Ditto with the built in phono MM preamp through TEAC-TN-300 turntable with factory Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge. Clearly not a high cost setup, I think I gotta bunch of bang for my bucks. ... show more

    • Great upper end receiver for phonos with mm cartridges
I have gotten several older Marantz receivers online, because they have special circuitry for the moving magnetic phono cartridge - I love the sound they produce. Trouble is, the older ones never lasted very long, and often did not arrive with both channels intact. There was a price drop on this one which convinced me to give it a try - beautiful, rich sound like the older units, but likely to last a lot longer. Totally worth the expense. ... show more

Love the clean sound. No more hum. Hated my Sony Amp every time I switched it on. I can't hear any noise or hum from this Marantz Amp at all. The controls are simple and it has sufficient inputs. The only thing keeping me from awarding 5 stars is the absence of 115 switched and/or unwatched outlets. What a pain in the butt that is. I had to bore bigger holes in the shelving to route two more power cords. Total pain. 5 stars for sound and function, -1 star for lacking the outlets. ... show more
