This lens is perfect for sports videos. With a Sony ZV-e10 I was able to follow a lacrosse game from about 50 yards in the bleachers with room zoom in for close-ups of both goalies from the 50 yard line. The build quality is excellent, functionality is easy, and pairs well with the ZV-e10. My only critique is the zoom does not integrate with the camera so you have to zoom with the lens. ... show more

Solid APS-C lens, first major lens I bought after my Sony FE 50mm 1.8 because I wanted the versatility rather then buying another prime and it was worth it. Obviously not as good in low light as my 50mm but with a flash and a little light this lens works magic. Focus speed is good nothing extraordinary, google says it weights less then a pound but I think the fact its long and the filter threading is 72mm makes it feel heavier, I have tried putting it on my gimble a DJI RS4 Mini and it takes a second to balance and when I do balance I've only used it in pan shooting because I can never perfectly balance it vertically. Find myself shooting mostly; 24, 35, 50-90, and 105mm (max). Sometimes I go a little over or under my focal length depending on the shot. Overall a jack of all trades lens, I use it for amateur macro stills, family stills, video works well but I do enjoy the longer focal length more when in video for good reason mostly due to the bokeh it gives when focusing on a subject. Not the sharpest tool in the shed but it will get the job done and with a premium camera body this lens would be even better with its already exceptional specs. The value is great if you get a bundle, sale or used. Luckily I got it used eventually bought a flash, ND filter and got shoots like the one below ... show more
