Camera was of exceptional quality!! As are most Sony products. Originally purchased basically for use as a high-end podcast camera and worked great for that application! ... I never really used it outdoors for photography, as it mainly stayed attached to a tripod on my desk, but functioned flawlessly for what I needed. As you can see from some reviews, the menu functionality is a bit cumbersome IF you don't read the owner's manual FIRST or not a photography aficionado. But, not hard to get the hang of it if you study up first! ... Excellent choice for podcasting start-up, though!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was so excited to get this camera, and I always trust the customer service of Amazon to come through on their refurbished equipment if there are any damages or issues upon arrival, so I felt great about this purchase. I was surprised when I turned it on after charging to find that all the setup dialog and menus were in what Google Translate read as Japanese (I could be wrong, apologies). After hours of research, resets, and a call to Sony support, everyone says the same thing: if Sony cameras are from certain regions (Japan included) they are locked in that language, and this cannot be changed. I took a picture of where some Youtube videos will show you that the button is supposed to be to change language, but it is indeed removed, so this is not a U.S. model, or one that has English available, unfortunately. Beware… the camera you get might not be what you thought, and more than just a scratch on a case or missing wind screen. Disappointing. UPDATE: Returned 1st camera, ordered a replacement from the same seller. Once again… in Japanese. I did message them, but have not heard back. Unfortunately, I may be returning another camera once again. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SELLER! ... show more

This is a review of the seller more than the camera. These Sony cameras are great but I bought it as a renewed item, so used. If they would have said the camera was new, I would not have questioned that. It is in that good of condition. No scratches, or even finger print smudges on the screen. It came with original box and accessories. The battery was dead when it arrived but charged up and is holding charge like new. All in all, a great camera at a good discount. no issues here.
