Felt like a love story with a cat and mouse chase. Who exactly was going to come out on top. Roman is the pack Alpha and Isabella is a 17, but will be 18 in a few days. In which she is waiting to find her true mate. Who exactly is it? This was a great story that had a surprising depth to it. Isabella and Roman are like fire and kerosene. I loved the book overall, the story was great and I couldn’t put the book down.

At first, I worried that the book would be cheesy or too fast. I was quickly rid of those thoughts and felt very compelled to keep reading. The whole book was super intense till the end. My favorite about this book was that Alpha Roman was strong and matched up great with Isabella. Isabella was really strong and sexy, seductive, and brat in a good way (strong-willed). There were tons of moments I felt, 'Why is she constantly being defiant' but then realized it made the story that much better. Though I still feel Roman made me mad by not marking her and being selfish and inconsiderate I don't feel like he cared about Isabella enough and it bothered me at times. Super entertaining and multiple plots to keep the ball rolling. Thank goodness someone knows how to entertain and keep the reader engaged. Good job Emilia Rose.

Great book

I enjoyed reading this book, Isabella and Roman’ s story is full of interesting turns. I liked Isabella’s indomitable spirit and Roman’s need to protect her. There’s a few spicy scenes which adds to the tension between them.

Porn with a weird plot and hole lot holes (literally and metaphorically

*SPOILERS* It’s a sexy time book. The sex scenes are all right, although sometimes they become a bit of a gymnastics match and I’m not really sure how they’re doing what they say they’re doing. The entire Ryker plot line is mediocre at best. Most of the scenes up until the end of the book that include Ryker happen either off the page or or implied, so I didn’t really know what’s going on and was genuinely confused through out the entire last part of the book. I also have a really hard time believing that she somehow new Ryker was up to no good the entire time considering we’re given insight into her inner thoughts and feelings throughout the whole book and she never once questions Rikers motives until the end. Anyways it was ok, probably not gonna read the remainder of the series.

Isabella and Roman

Roman is the pack Alpha. Isabella is 17 and will be 18 in a few days and is waiting to find her true mate. Roman and Isabella grew up together and there is a spark between them but both are trying to deny it. Isabella teases and pushes Roman to his limits on a regular basis but as pack Alpha Roman has to fight his instincts and keep Isabella safe. All Isabella has ever wanted was to be a warrior for the pack. She has a very strong instinct to protect but when it is time to find out her placement she has been assigned as a nurse instead of a warrior by her Alpha . She is hurt and doesn't understand why she is being punished, she is the best fighter in the whole pack. Isabella has a decision to make, achieve her dream of being a warrior or stay with her pack and family and her true mate. Will she be able to live with the choice she makes? There are more people involved and a couple of back stories that make this book very compelling. I loved this book, the story is original and the characters are amazing. If you love shifters this is a must read!

Had me glued to my kindle

This was a great story that had a surprising depth to it. Isabella and Roman are like fire and kerosene. They ignite together but continue spark as she refuses to just submit to Roman and just follow his ruling. It becomes the rhythm of their relationship as they continue to circle each other until a series of decisions push them further apart. I loved the push and pull and ached with them as all seemed lost. Story had perfect ending and I look forward to reading book 2. This one had me glued to the pages until the wee hours of the morning. Would having finished in one sitting if not for need to be able to function the next day. Highly recommend for fans of shifters.
