Excellent piece of temporary or transition furniture (I only say that as this still can’t compete with an all-wood chest). I didn’t realize that the entire piece was covered in faux leather, I thought it was just the faux leather padded top and cloth covered MDF for the sides. But that’s my fault for not reading the listing well, and turned out to be a lovely surprise. It went together incredibly easily, I never even looked at the instructions. It all just made sense. Feels very sturdy, looks nice and holds a lot. This piece is used as a catch-all for me, including a roll or two of wrapping paper, so I particularly appreciate that the smaller bins and divider inside are completely optional to use. I ordered this hoping it would be similar to my little den loveseat. Was shocked that it was almost an identical match. Very nice, soft, sturdy, and velvet is super soft. It was also extremely easy to assemble. The color is a soft pink, not harsh. Top is wonderfully overstuffed and makes a nice extra seat. Has plenty of storage room as well. I took a chance and purchased the “open box” storage ottoman. It arrived in a factory sealed box that was a little damaged, but not enough to impact the product which was a great way to save some money! The assembly (which included unfolding, putting the base inside and putting the legs on) was super quick and easy! There is plenty of storage for extra blankets. When it was opened there was no odor. It’s very pretty, seems sturdy at first but it’s not. The lining/walls are made of flimsy cardboard or composite material that broke under the velour within six months (on the lid). I’ve had other brands of this type of storage in my other child’s room last 6+ years ..

Ottoman looks nice, but the legs can't be installed. The screw on the legs is too short to screw into the base of the ottoman. If you want legs on your ottoman, do not buy this product. Also, don't sit or store heavy items on top of the ottoman, it is solely for storage inside of the ottoman.
