i was not prepared for how incredibly nice this storage bench is. i expected something kinda flimsy and maybe a little cheap looking. but this thing is legit beautiful. in fact, it’s too nice. i was going to keep it in my living room to hide clutter and probably eventually pile with more clutter but that was because i assumed it was just like all the other inexpensive collapsible storage benches for sale on here and walmart and temu and aliexpress etc. as soon as i finished setting this up (literally just takes a minute) i could see that i was mistaken and i needed to act fast to protect this lovely piece of furniture from those who would destroy it (neighbor kids and the stray kitten i recently brought in from outside). we buy inexpensive furniture because we don’t have the kind of lifestyle that allows us to keep nice things nice - so this was quite a surprise. the fabric covering has got this corduroy texture in a seafoam green color that is so pristine and vibrant for a pastel shade. honestly, my initial response was almost panicky because that beautiful textured shade of seafoam was gonna get ruined in a matter of seconds by that sweet baby kitty i found outside. i wanted it to stay nice but i didn’t want to stow it away, never to be used or admired. so my accidental purchase of a way too nice storage bench inspired our new Grownups Lounge in the spare bedroom. no children, no cats, safe and discreet storage of 420 related items, seen and admired every time friends drop by (daily), and this thing can seat three grown men, no problem. it’s sturdy. very sturdy. and now we need two more of these. ... show more
