Great device. Easy to light fires and if you follow the instructions is absolutely low smoke (nothing is no smoke....after all....you are burning a fire in there). Mine came with the mounting ring but I have it sitting right on my patio and there is absolutely no evidence of unusual wear underneath the device. I'd probably still put it on a grill matt if I used it on my wood deck, bit it does a great job of providing a nice warming fire without any visible damage to where we have it sitting. Due to how it works I find the wood burns very completely and have relatively little ash to clear out. It is relatively low maintenance and, because of how easy it is to light a fire, we use it more often than our older traditional wood burning dish.

Assembly was not difficult, but instructional information on how to set up logs and the orientation of the various parts would be helpful…I found that easily on line in a few YouTube videos. Once it heats up, it really works as advertised- I did burn very good wood which I’m sure helped, but it was almost entirely smokeless and really gave off a nice heat - excellent product and high quality materials.

Bought the Yukon in late Feb and recipient just opened the box with the intent to use it. Noticed a nice dent and paint chip. Solo says in need to work with Amazon, though Unfortunately it appears that my return window late March has closed. Hope they can resolve .
