Took no time at all to start a fire for its shakedown burn. I don’t know who said this thing doesn’t burn hot but it’s Hells kitchen right now is the price too high probably but it works freaking awesome.

Great device. Easy to light fires and if you follow the instructions is absolutely low smoke (nothing is no smoke....after all....you are burning a fire in there). Mine came with the mounting ring but I have it sitting right on my patio and there is absolutely no evidence of unusual wear underneath the device. I'd probably still put it on a grill matt if I used it on my wood deck, bit it does a great job of providing a nice warming fire without any visible damage to where we have it sitting. Due to how it works I find the wood burns very completely and have relatively little ash to clear out. It is relatively low maintenance and, because of how easy it is to light a fire, we use it more often than our older traditional wood burning dish. ... show more

Love this fire pit (stove as they call it). We’ve gone through so so many of the cheaper fire pits sure to rusting out with in 1-2 years. So far this one has been awesome. And so much less smoke in your face. Also clean up is easy.

The firepit burns wood very well. The size is perfect for a large group. Overall it seems to be what we needed. I gave only 4 stars because the beautiful stainless steel color is already changing to a slightly brown color. I suspect that it will fully lose its shine after a few more fires. So if you are buying this for the burn you will get then its great. But if you are buying it for its looks - that will change. ... show more
