This thing totally changes everything you know about fire building / maintaining. It burns SO hot and SO thoroughly, we can get a blazing fire going with one Vaseline-dipped cotton ball, and 2-4 pieces of small kindling. On top of that, we place regular sized split wood. Amazingly, it "catches" every time. Also amazing is how thoroughly it burns the wood. (Again, the heat thing...) Even after adding 15-20 logs, the next morning, there is only a small amount of very fine powder remaining. Amazing. ... show more

Love the simplicity of the unit, 30 seconds to assemble, great carrying case for camping etc! Easy light, few pieces of paper and some kindling, burning in less than 2 minutes.

It takes about 5 seconds and zero effort to get a fire going. Best of all it burns all the wood and doesn’t take hours to go out when you are ready to retire. The best for my purposes.

If only I had the patience to wait another day for delivery, I would have upsized to the Bonfire instead of this Ranger. It's cute, easily portable and works for what we need, but b/c it's the smaller size, your wood has to be smaller too to fit in it, which is a bit of a pain and inconvenience. None-the-less these solo stoves are amazing and I love that I don't end up with a migraine from campfire smoke. 9.8 out of 10 b/c its tiny! ... show more

We are a moto family and go camping regularly. A lot of the tracks require contained fires, my kids have begged for a fire pit. We were dreading getting the bigger fire pits because storage would be a pain. This came highly recommended from my coworker. I was a little hesitant because of the price, but decided to give it a shot. We used it for the first time last weekend, and we were instantly impressed! We went with the Ranger, it’s perfect size for what we need. It burns super clean, and there was barely any ash left. It came with a bag for easy storage and transporting.
