Style: For Lite
It is not extremely heavy because it is small, but it has more mass than I expected. It works well. Thus far I've only used it to test my Solo Stove Lite (more than 10 years old) with charcoal rather than with wood or wood pallets. This product and the Solo Stove Lite are not necessarily recommended for use with charcoal, but it worked for me. I only used 3 regular charcoal briquettes in it at once, though. I don't know that I would recommend using it with more than that. I didn't cook over the briquettes, but I'm sure I could have. Really it was more of an experiment. I haven't tried it with wood pellets as intended, but I'm sure it would work great. The holes are small enough to keep most (if not all) of the wood pellets in the burn area in the middle of the Solo Stove rather than in the ash catching area at the bottom of it. I'd recommend this for either charcoal (only a few at a time) or for wood pellets even though I technically haven't tested it with the latter yet.

I have had my stove for 3 years, and it's been around the block a time or two, used exclusively for kayak camping trips. I also carry the alcohol burner insert, and often use it when twig material is wet, or I'm just feeling lazy. The new option of tossing in the the grate and adding a handful of pellets is great! I can boil a full pot of water without having to feed the fire at all. The twig consumption kept me tending it constantly. I'll always carry this, and a small container of pellets as be well from now on!

Nice addition to the solo stove. It fits properly and allows the proper burn of wood pellets with a nice secondary burn. A bit pricey as you can purchase one from the official Solo Stove website at a lower cost. Otherwise, a decent product for burning wood pellets.
