I got this in the mail and was skeptical and sure I would return it after I got it. It is light and tinny, not heavy an sturdy feeling, for the price. I laughed at the over-thought stand that one clicked into place, I couldn’t release. Did I mention that I hate reading directions, 🤣. I was gonna return it, but then the sunset and I’d already cut up a bunch of wood for it in tiny portions, so I gave it a whirl and figured I could return it even if it was used. Well, to my delight, it is the best purchase I’ve made in a while. It is absolutely what I need for the porch. I live in Maine. I have plenty of trees to cut into small pieces and they last a while and create a really nice warm fire for the deck, and it’s very safe. That’s my review.

Love this little stove, works great burns very clean, the lower outer part is somewhat cool to the touch and very stable legs, it can be used in different setting and it is very portable, it can be used in small patios or yards. Specially those that were you cannot have fire pits, it is very stylish, and we are enjoying it immensely, we have been making s’mores with the kiddos, even in hot weather you can use as it doesn’t make it feel too hot. We have left is outside for days and so far we have not seen any rust, and after many burns the outside is still looking great.

You can get a great fire going in this thing. It’s better to use small sticks or cut off pieces of lumber. I bought the small pellets, but they don’t last very long. You are spending more time adding them than enjoying the fire. Make sure to get the mat for underneath otherwise things can get messy and possibly dangerous.

Let me preface this by saying that we are fans of the Solo Stove products. We already own the Bonfire one and absolutely LOVE it. So we decided to purchase this one for our patio table....it's the cutest thing ever! It's portable, so you can either put it on a table, or any other surface. It's well-made- no assembly required. We got it in the red color, and it's just perfect for our porch living decor.

The media could not be loaded. I bought the Mesa XL because I miss having a fire on my deck. We have big Solo Stove and love it so I thought I’d give this a try. It’s not great but I do like it after learning a few tricks. First: don’t use pellets. It just creates a LOT of smoke. Second: use smaller pieces of wood. I ordered a box of oak just to try it. They burn great but great large coals and fill up the stove pretty fast. But they work. Third: remove the ring. The ring seems to make it smoke more. Fourth: you’re not supposed to stack above the air holes but it’s hard not to since the wood chunks are big. Again, this is why you should leave the ring off. Fifth: don’t stack the wood. Always teepee the wood. This keeps the air flowing and the smoke down. Sixth: if you’re looking for warmth, get the big Solo Stove. This radiates a little heat but once the sun goes down it won’t keep you warm. But it does put off some heat. It’s not 100% smokeless. But neither is my large Solo, especially if you like big fire, which we do. But it’s a great addition to my deck while relaxing in the evening or having dinner. I think Solo Stove should make an even bigger one that goes in a table. The same height only wider.. That would be perfect.

Bonfires usually involve a lot of wood and smoke, and take most of an evening. And then you have to be sure to put them out. I would never make a fire like that just for myself, but this little fire is something I can enjoy on my patio any evening as I watch the moon rise. It's also small and light enough to take car camping. The fire can get quite tall and boisterous, so I'm not sure about sitting closely around a table with it burning. I leave mine on the ground. The stove requires very little wood, produces hardly any smoke, and it can last anywhere from 20 minutes to all evening. After it burns down I put a pot lid on the stove to be sure it's done. It burns very efficiently and there is hardly any ash, so next day cleanup is easy. I bought a color that was very much on sale. Not my first choice, but having a fire in the dark you won't notice the color of the stove anyway. We have ancient trees where I live that frequently drop old dry branches, and now I can make good use of them. This was a very good purchase.

This was worth every bit of the money. As long as you use 3.5in precut wood for a pizza oven and wood pellet “tiki” brand this stove will light up instantly and burn for a long time. Easy to add another pizza oven log as needed. 100% recommend this thing. Btw it’s tiny but it’s perfect for us.
