The brightness is excellent and the sensor works really good when anything moves around. It has 3 settings for distance 75ft, 40ft and 20ft. I have the light set at 20ft and it is in the driveway. the street is at 25ft distance and the only thing that I can complain is that it still turns on when a car pass in the street despite being a distance longer than 20ft away... too sensitive... If it could be set ay like 10ft would be awesome.

I really wanted to like this. It's got a really great mounting system that would be excellent for wet locations, with a lot of settings that are super simple to adjust. My challenge is that because of my set-up, I had to modify it to get it to work, and it took MUCH longer to install than I expected. Here's the GOOD: Instead of just screwing the whole thing onto the electrical box and using wire nuts to connect the wires, there is a waterproof mounting plate with lots of gaskets and a terminal for attaching the wiring. It looks and feels solid and waterproof. Also, the settings are very customizable (activation distance, mode, how long it stays on, and the brightness). There is a separate button for each, and it lights up next to the settings that are printed on the side. See my picture of the buttons and the instruction pages. Much, much better than the options where you either can't adjust the settings or there's a cryptic pattern you have to push one or two buttons with no confirmation you got the setting you wanted. The LESS GOOD: I knocked off a star because I had a lot of issues getting the mounting plate situated. It's designed so that the mounting bar (to which the mounting plate attaches) must be diagonal in order for the mounting plate to sit flush with the box. The screw holes on my electrical box are vertical (may be that the box is designed for something different), but the moral of the story is that I had to use a rotary tool to carve out part of the back to get it to sit flush. Also, one of the provided screws snapped while screwing it into the box before it was tight, so I had to replace it with my own screw. The wire terminal is a nice idea, but the cable hold down is both too close to the terminal and the entry point for it to work as intended. None of this is a dealbreaker (especially since I'm using it in a garage), and it may not be an issue for the vast majority of buyers, but it took a considerable amount of extra work on my part for something I've done very simply many times before, which is why I knocked off a star. Also, it's worth noting that the light is pretty blueish. I'd guess 5,000-6,000k. It's not an issue for my use, but I would want a warmer light if it was outside in my driveway. All-in-all, it does what it says. It is highly customizable, and very solid. But if you don't have the exact right electrical box orientation, you might run into issues. Also, if you like a warmer light, you might try something else.

Arrived intact and well packaged. Underwhelming at first but once you check all of the functions you realize that it is very simple in construction and materials yet functional. The radio AM/FM/Weather/Alert selector switch is less than desirable but functional. The radio stations and weather stations tuner is simple yet functional. There is a top mounted/flip up LED light that is very bright as is the horizontal three position LED flashlight. I have not utilized the hand crank nor the solar recharging capabilities yet but I intend to give it some field testing in the near future. Overall review is Simple yet Functional.

I liked the installation scheme. Install a back-plate first, then the main unit plugs into that and retained with a screw. No fumbling with wire nuts while up on the ladder against the side of the house. I still hate being up the ladder, but all the installation steps were pretty easily accomplished and the whole set-up went up easily. The lights themselves are easily repositioned and have a wide variety of angles they can be set to. The sensor swivels left-to-right (in my case I wanted it biased towards the viewers left), and that's another customizable feature that may help with a particular installation. Two suggestions: 1) it would have been nice if the manufacturer had packaged a gasket of some sort to install between the back-plate and the house. Not critical, but it would be a good idea. I used some weatherstripping I had laying around to accomplish the same thing. 2) No one else does this that I know of, and probably too expensive, but having a bluetooth connection for the settings would alleviate having to get the ladder out in case someone in the house switches off the power to the light which resets all the settings to factory defaults. Sure, one can tape up the switch, but still, one can wish for that feature (no one has it). Overall quite pleased with the brightness of the lights and the ease of installation. Unit is constructed with a high quality. Recommended.

Our side door is on the blind side of the house. We wanted a bright, motion sensor, light. Not blinding bright, but bright enough to adequately illuminate the surrounding area. I had one but it was so bright that it literally blinded the person at the door. This light isn’t quite that bright and has the ability to point it up enough to keep it out of the eyes. I like that it has easy to use adjustments. No need to count clicks. It would work well as a soffit corner light. It has a very unique mounting base which makes it much easier to install. It is supposed to be waterproof but where I have it mounted is under cover so I didn’t rate the weatherproofness.

The installation process wasn’t the easiest, but not impossible with following the simple instructions. I love that you can change the motion detecting radius to fit your specific needs. We put ours in the back left corner of our house where there isn’t a lot of light or visibility, works like charm!
