Let's be honest, you can do pushups w/o a gadget. You can move your hands into different positions w/o a board and pegs. I got this for one reason, and that is to lift my hands up a little while doing pushups so that my chest can drop a little lower. And of course this could have been accomplished with paralletts or dumbells or yoga blocks as well...but secondarily I wanted the variation of different pegs and hand placements that this gives. So in that sense it does what its supposed to do. I also think it will be just slightly more interesting than regular pushups for my teenage son. I tell him to wake up in the morning, roll out of bed and do some pushups...or do some before bed time...or just take a break from gaming and pump out a few. I am hoping with this in his room, he'll see it and be encouraged to do a few random sets of pushups and try the different variations...and then over time he'll start to try to build on his max effort. The only thing I didnt like about this is that it has a position for "back". I guess technically there could be some back engagement in pushups. But its primarily chest, then tris then shoulders....i think having dedicated position for back is a little too optimistic and the product would have been fine omitting "back" positions. I like that its foldable and be stored away under a bed or something (where you'll never see it again). It is cheap plastic, and there are little foam stickers that you can place on the bottom if you are using it on hard floor rather than carpet. However there are not enough foam stickers to cover all the nodes (each peg position on the front creates a little node on the back where the foam stickers can be placed)....so choose your positioning wisely I guess. 4 stars for doing what its supposed to, minus 1 for being a bit too cheap material wise ... show more

according to my boyfriend, this is a very good dupe to a higher price tag item. he said the size is good, the grip is great and with the little tab grippy stickers it comes with, theres not much shifting of the board even on a smooth floor. he did however say that for his strength from “free movement” boxing/sparring workouts, trying to use the board forces much more strict movements and angles that his shoulders just arent used to, making this tool uncomfortable to use. ... show more

I got this for our home gym workout area. It is not a huge space and we just have mats and some weights and bands to do body weight work and yoga. This is great for getting some creative ideas on targeting different muscles. It also folds up easily to store and get out of the way if we aren't using it. I can barely do push ups because I have neglected my arm strength for a few years *cough* decades. But this kind of forces me to get my body in form to get these into practice. This was a great set and gets the job done. I am hesitant about some of their labeling when it comes to which color works which muscle group, but to each their own. My biggest complaint is that it advertises that it is rubberized on the bottom, when really it comes with stickers that you have to place on the bottom… and it doesn’t even come with enough. You have to pick and choose where to put the stickers to obtain the best coverage. Once the stickers are on, it does not fold shut fully. Also, there is no place to store the handles other then on top of the board. Lastly, there is one grip on the outmost part of the board which causes the board to fold a little bit which is not ideal. The rest of the grips, however, do not have this issue. Even though the product is made out of plastic, it seems pretty well made. The grips are comfortable as well. Lastly, there are holes on both sides of the board which I am unsure of the use of. Overall, a nice set, can get your pushups in. ... show more
