Received our light a week ago. With unpackaging, although a corner of the box had been slightly scrunched somewhere along the line the packing was excellent and there was no damage. That the light was covered with a heavy plastic bag was helpful as were the white cotton gloves which were used to handle the fixture. The design was sleek, modern and clearly different from non-LED fixtures. Putting the light up was an easy process -- My wife and I completed removal of the old fixture and hanging the new one in under an hour. -- but it does require two people: One pair of hands to connect the wiring using wire nuts and one to hold the fixture while doing so. The light is white and bright -- just what we wanted. One reviewer complained about the delay between turning on the switch and the light coming on. By my estimate this is less than a second and is not a problem. A week or so after the box was delivered we got a letter in the mail from SOLFART pointing out and explaining the guarantee and discussing the more common problems which people might have and how to fix them. Great light! Great look! Great buy!

Just got this light and installed it an hour ago. It was going over a bathroom mirror. The light itself is very bright and looks elegant/modern. It punches above its weight for what you pay and what you get. A good value. The only quirk on installation is that the ballast box is dead center in the middle of the fixture. At the same time, the wires come off the side of the ballast box. When lining up with the provided bracket the electrical wires from the box come between the bracket and the ballast box. It would have been dead simple for them to simply mount the ballast box 2 inches to the left so the wires coming out of the side of the box were dead center in the middle of the hole of the bracket. Due to this mounting issue, I was unable to get the top right screw on. Just could not push the fixture any further in due to the wire being sandwiched between the ballast box and the included bracket. You cannot see the missing screw at the right and the other 3 screws I'm sure will hold it fine. It isn't going anywhere. Aside from the mounting issue which would have made it 10x easier with that small modification I like the light, would buy it again and would recommend it if you like its design. Oh, and it does have a 1-second delay coming on. Not a huge deal unless you are impatient but not having it come in instantly does throw you off since typically all our lights are instant.

I found the appearance of this light fixture to be quite striking, and found it to be even more so once installed. The fixture is sturdy, and appears well-made. It comes with the fixture, the back plate, and the hardware needed to attach it to wall or ceiling. The backer plate was really simple to install, and is designed to fit a number of fixture boxes, or it can be attached to the wall with drywall anchors (included). Be careful, though - the fixture is a bit on the heavy side, so be certain to attach that backer plate FIRMLY to your wall. The design of the fixture itself makes it easy to hide wiring under, so you don't necessarily have to worry overmuch about stuffing stiff and uncooperative wire bundles back into your wall after wiring up the harness. It's ALWAYS best to get the connectors back into the box if you can, of course, but as long as the connectors are firmly attached the wires can be flattened out and hidden under this long fixture. The only real issue I had with installing this device (and it wasn't all that much of an issue) was attaching the fixture to the backer plate after wiring it up. This is really a two-person job, as there are 4 small screw holes (2 on top, 2 on the bottom) that have to be lined up with the screw holes on the backer plate. One person should hold the fixture in place while the other installs the screws. They're machine screws to boot, so it's important that you get them lined up properly to seat the screws without stripping threads on the backer plate screw holes. If you're reaching up and over a bathroom vanity to install this light, things can get a little tight with two people Other than that, the only other comment I can make is that there is just the slightest delay between when you throw the switch and when the fixture lights up - a half-second or so. Not much, to be sure, but it isn't the 'instant-on' I'm accustomed to with other light fixtures. Oh, and one other thing - my wife (who is EXTREMELY frugal) liked this light so much that she asked me to get another one for our second bathroom. That in itself tells me that I made a GOOD choice with this light.
