These are very well made. I like that they come with extra bulbs. I bought hooks and a tool to put into beams and then hooked up 4 strands. They are so bright you really don't need additional lighting. If you are looking just for ambiance, this might be too bright. I didn't really want so bright. I wanted a bit more discrete. But they are very sturdy and well made and I've kept them. When the strand is going to a plug, I have removed the bulb so it doesn't hit the wall. I then taped the socket to protect from the environment. I have mine on a timer. I've reduced the length of time because it's a bit obnoxious for the neighbors. ... show more

These have bend hanging outside every summer for 3 years. They are still working, in good shape. They are rugged… i can knock them around. They give off nice light. I was thinking about buying another set.

    • Good string, but unsure of longevity of lights.
The string appears to be very similar to several other vendors out there, however I like that on these the bulb screws into the socket tight enough to make them water proof. I have had no issue using them in the rain. My only concern is that one bulb has already gone out. It comes with a spare, but I was surprised having to use it so soon. I am hoping the others last longer, but time will tell. ... show more

Love these lights! Had them for a few months now and they seem to be holding up well, even with a few stong wind/thunderstorms weve had. I was orginally concerned about them breaking when strongs winds come and they bang against pvc fence, but so far no issues. I like that they are plastic. I have a dog so dont want to have to deal with any broken glass.We have them wiretied and draping around our pvc fence and our garage. Planning tp keep them up all year, through the winter etc. Hope they can hold up through east coast winters.We ordered 3 sets to fill up our outdoor space. I love the look it gives to our small yard- very. intimate, cozy, romantic. The 3 sets illuminate the entire yard very nicely- way more brighter than i thought but not unconfortable to the eye, in fact Its very pleasing to the eye. Each set came with 1 or 2 extra bulbs. The bulbs were very easy to attach. We purchased the reccommended remote control for these lights. It works well, despite the fact that the remote has no hook that you can attach a keychain to So it can be very easy to lose the remote control. Very very happy with these lights. ... show more

Product worked very well for a few years, then some of the lights at the end of the string stopped working, then I noticed a varmint had chewed through two of the lights cords at the beginning of the light string. Not sure why the lights at the end stopped working as a result of the severed lights at the beginning. Will probably buy same as a replacement. ... show more
