It's been living exclusively outside for over a year. Still going. Don't expect it to fully charge on overcast days, watch is normal. Doesn't last as long when it's cold, which is normal. I thought that they were broken because I put them up and they never turned on. The button on the back is not clear. I ordered another set and that didn't work either. Then my daughter discovered the button. We turned it on and let it charge in the sunlight for a day. It worked. I'm glad we have two sets too. One we set to twinkle and the other we just left on the regular setting. Our potting shed is lit up and looks fantastic. I really like these lights. I just wish it was more clear if the power is on and the setting is on. It is confusing and really a matter of letting it charge, while it is turned to on, and then testing it out. ... show more

They were fine lit up and the solar part works. The modes were a good feature. But after being left outside the wire got brittle and they broke apart . Didn't last sadly
