These work well but aren't as bright as I thought they would be. Probably my fault for not reading the description. The bulbs are small and an off white. They look nice but don't provide as much light as I hoped for.

I let them charge outside for about 24 hours so they would work as soon as we installed them. They’re very lightweight; here they are affixed only with twist ties. The lights really do not turn on until it’s dim or dark out. We were able to test them by covering the solar panels. The first picture is taken from inside at night, and the second one with my son was taken outside around sundown. The various modes are cool. We used both strings here. After I took the picture with my son I moved the panels to outside where they would get sunlight during the day. ... show more

Bought these before these are great but one of the bundles the wire is disconnected from the solar panel. I will have to replace it otherwise the lights work great

Summary: Overall good quality and effectiveness for the price. The lights are made of filled glass and there are 2 separate sets. The solar charge takes a bit to fill, but does work in shadier areas as long as it gets some sun. The lights are beautiful and bright. Further Details: The 2 sets of string lights have their own solar panels and sticks for ground attachment. The glass lightbulbs are about an inch in circumference. I like that they're fill glass so they're sturdier than lightbulbs. There are 2 buttons on the solat panels: 1 for power and the other for light blinking frequency (although I honestly don't know how these work). It was really easy to set up. I did have to wait a day for the solars to charge. The only thing is that I wish it was 1 longer set instead of 2 so I could hang it further up the tree, but there are ways around this. ... show more

These solar string lights are good quality and bright. They are hard resin bulbs with the light source cast inside. They have a protective sleeve at the bottom of each bulb to protect from rain and moisture. Break proof, waterproof and because they are solar powered you can put them anywhere. I have the solar cell in direct sun for part of the day. So far they have stayed lit for my usage as mood lighting. There’s about 6 feet of wire after the last bulb to the solar panel. This is great because you can hide the small solar panel from site. Perfect to put around a pool or areas where there’s no electric available. Light mode settings are cool too. Previously bought a cheaper and lesser quality solar string light from Harbor freight, lasted about a month and they were dim with only 2 mode settings. This set is much better quality and versatile.
