Pros: great image, good zoom, easy to setup and use, good battery life Cons: does not trigger on motion, slow to trigger. I bought this to watch my rv as I had a break in at the storage yard. I put the camera up on the nearby pole and zoomed it in. I then tried walking in view. The camera would not trigger. I jumped up and down and waived my arms and it would trigger. What thief would waive their arms over their head until the camera triggered. I set the monitoring zones to be only what was needed. I only did the trial so I can't post the video. I say it is slow to trigger as I would walk into the frame and stand there. I would wave and it would trigger well after I started waving. It should have triggered when I crossed the first pixel. I tried changing the sensitivity. It did not help. I returned the camera.

Terrible camera. Installed exactly as stated in directions, with the height and distance shown for best motion detection. Battery fully charged, 4g reception full bars. But Semi trucks drive by and it's a 50/50 chance if it activates. And when it does activate it, if you even get a notification at all (despite having everything on your phone and in the app set as they said in the manual, you may get a notification 1 out of 4 times (which proves it's not a phone or app setting issue, or you wouldn't get notifications at all). And, when you DO get a notification, sometimes it is 10 minutes later! This was a waste of money, and a waste of the monthly payments. SOOOO glad I didn't purchase 6 months or a years worth of service!

I bought this "SEHMUA Solar Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor, 2K 360° View Battery Powered Camera" based on my needs and the reviews. I installed the camera, setting it up making sure I had a good WiFi signal. The app "Ubox" walked me through the setup. In the next several days I would get severely delayed notifications - not great for a security camera. I set the clip length to 10 seconds but the camera kept recording for a variety of lengths some time up to two minutes. When I tried to access the videos on the microSD card the app would continuously churn with dual dueling rotating arrows sometimes taking minutes to resolve. Once I was able to view the video the only movement on the video was a tree branch slightly moving with the breeze. The camera never captured a car entering our driveway. I tried resetting the camera to factory settings and reinstalling. I tried reinstalling the app. Nothing helped. The software is a mess. I am returning for a refund and seeking out something better. The camera functioned well with great features, and detail, and the solar panel kept it charged up. I have no complaints about the hardware but this camera needs a better functioning app. For me this camera is totally unusable due to the app "Ubox."

This review is for the cellular option. I wanted to use it for awhile before leaving a review. I got it for a remote property after an attempted break in there. First off the camera itself. It is really good for the money. Resolution is good, the solar panel is able to keep the battery charged even with PNW grey winters. I did have annoying moments where the sensor would be picking up all the bugs flying in front of it during hot sunny weather. Even with the sensitivity set to low. My issue is more with the UBox app and the service provider. I did a year subscription as it was the most economical option. I started it in November 2024. The first few months seemed good. Our cell reception at the property is around 2 bars, sometimes it drops to 1 bar but where the camera is it’s 2 bars. Come end of April 2025 I started getting issues where I wouldn’t be able to access the live view when I would go to the app to check on the property. It was annoying and I assumed maybe the warmer weather was affecting it. Shortly after it got to the point where the activity detection would shut itself off. I didn’t know if the problem was with the camera itself or the service provider. I contacted their customer service, they had me screenshot my settings, no issue there, asking questions about reception at the property. At the end they said that most probable cause would be the reception dropping so low to where the camera/app turns off activity detection. After that conversation things seemed to get better for a bit. It would still be acting up but not as frequently and I was checking daily to make sure it’s on. Lately it started shutting activity detection off again, few times a day. I don’t get notified that it does that. I only know that something is off because the alarm usually dings when the sun first rises on the camera or bug activity increases during midday. When I notice that alarm is quiet I go check the settings and sure enough activity detection got turned off again. It is frustrating to say the least. It is why I will not be renewing my subscription at the end of the year. I was hoping not to go the expensive route of well known established companies. But I need a cellular security camera at the property and this one isn’t providing that anymore.
