The separate garage has a rear door and our yard has had a privacy fence installed around the perimeter. We can not see the back of the garage and most of the back yard from inside our house. Our lot is long and narrow in an area of Victorian homes which are also long and narrow. Our problem is we can not see most of the back yard or behind the garage at all. We came home from a week end and noticed someone had entered the property recently, but we didn't have the camera put up. Now it's up and we love it. Not just for security, but we can see the dog, all the birds, watch incoming weather all from the house. We are hoping to pick up the Northern Lights this winter. We think it will since the picture is as good as my phone and that picked them up. We have it connected to an iPad and direct it from there. We still have to figure out a few thing and get rid of the wind chime in the back yard. It picks up audio from a distance of about 60 ft with no wind. It does pick up some wind noise if the microphone is the right direction for that to happen. We keep it muted. I did use the voice when I saw my other in the yard and he heard me from 50' away. I followed him as he walked toward it and the motion is smooth and steady. It doesn't take much to move it. He couldn't tell what I said, but knew it was me from the sound of my voice! We are pleased enough that we ordered 2 more. The quality is there and as far as recording, It will do it, we just haven't tried that part out yet. It also alerts when there is motion with a jingle, not annoying at all and it only alerts for larger motion, not birds, leaves or objects blowing around. For further away motion, it will alert for humans moving even on the other side of our 6' privacy fence if they are near the fence. Your best bet, is mount the camera to a board, then mount that board to the eave of your roof at a corner or peak. That way you can put the solar panel to the sun and the camera covers what you need. Put it on the board first, then when you go up on the roof or ladder, you are mounting a minimum of stuff instead of trying to put it all together up there. He also tested it to make sure we could receive from the ipad over that distance before doing anything with mounting. The camera is about 60ft. from our modem and the ipad picks it up no matter where it is.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Customer Support – Problem Solved Quickly I had an issue with the camera going offline, and despite trying all the suggested troubleshooting steps, it still wouldn’t reconnect. I reached out to customer support, and I was honestly impressed by how professional and responsive they were. Mia from the support team was especially helpful — she guided me through each step with patience and clarity. SEHMUA 4G LTE Cellular Solar Security Camera Wireless Outdoor. The battery was easy to charge before first use, camera unit easy to install, and has operated well. The alerts come to my phone when activity is detected and a quick tap on the alert takes me to the live video. The events are stored on the provided memory card and can be downloaded to my phone. The remote control of pointing the camera works well - I needed to learn to tap the arrow and then give it a couple seconds to complete the movement and then tap again or tap and hold for the next movement then give it time to complete the action. I scheduled alerts based on time of day because the sunlight / shade seemed to be triggering alerts and this seems to be common with PIR systems… so the schedule starts sending alerts from late evening to early morning which meets my needs. It turns out the we have cats and raccoons that trigger the events and luckily not people who are trespassing in the dark of night. The software is why this did not get 5 stars… the software seems to jot keep up to date with current actions like payments and updates which does not affect the important part of why we got the camera (alerts) so is more of an inconvenience. The settings icon still shows a red dot indicating firmware update needed even after upgrading… the 4G was not shown as active even though the 4G was allowing communication with camera and sending alerts and videos… the cloud storage shows as not accessible even though I extended the service for another month - the memory card still saves the videos so this is just an inconvenience and not a deal breaker. The battery level indicator has shown 100% after initial charging before installation - not sure this is accurate after all night use but the camera has continued to operate so maybe it is accurate. All in all I am very happy with this SEHMUA 4G LTE Cellular Solar Security Camera Wireless Outdoor and plan to purchase another one for our next location.
