This solar panel is actually really nice to have - no matter how I set up my Blink camera, there is no way for me to NOT capture the cars driving by, and having the camera pick up the motion. Therefore, my overpriced alkaline batteries tend to die very quickly! The location of our Blink Doorbell is right in the front of the house where, in the afternoon, the sun is the strongest. So, the solar aspect works great for the camera. It came with everything you need to install this (anchors too, not that I needed those as I installed on the wood trim of my house). The long charging cable is nice if you don't have access NEAR the camera for UV, but I didn't need a very long one so I had to wrap it up and ziptie it.

This solar panel is a total upgrade for my Blink setup! It keeps my doorbell and outdoor cams powered 24/7 without me having to mess with batteries or constant charging. The 9.84ft charging cable is super convenient, letting me position the panel for max sun exposure without worrying about placement limitations. There are few things I hate more than having my time wasted, and this garbage and falsely advertised product is an example of that. Please don't bother asking me to take down this review, i will not. This came with a solar panel and cable and a backplate for the Blink Video Doorbell. There were no instructions on how to attach the back plate, and that's because the back plate will not fit a Blink Video Doorbell. It also will not accommodate the wiring needed to connect the doorbell to indoor chimes. This product is utter false advertising. It might work fine for a Blink camera, but not for the Video Doorbell. Do not waste your time.

I got this solar panel to power my blink video doorbell after the original batteries finally died. Initially I tried it on my older model (2021) and it worked great! Even indoors it started powering my device immediately and I was able to stream video with no issues. After the test run, I decided to use it with my newer model doorbell instead and unfortunately that's where issues arose. I bought another blink doorbell over black friday and unfortunately the solar panel wasn't compatible with the newer model. When trying to install it one of the metal prongs necessary for the solar panel to work broke off and now it's completely useless. It's super unfortunate because if I had known I definitely would have stuck to using it with my older doorbell. Overall this is a great product but make sure that your device is compatible before trying to use it!

I have an outdoor Blink 3rd generation security camera overlooking my front driveway and sidewalk, which get a lot of activity. I got tired of replacing the batteries, which are lithium and fairly expensive, so thought I’d give this a try. It works perfectly. I was able to wedge it in my gutter, and I secured it with zip ties (see photos). It will receive plenty of sun in this location and it isn’t visible from the street. When I first mounted it, it was showing the camera as offline, even though I had tested it beforehand. It turned out that the USB-C cable wasn’t securely seated into the camera port, so I had to take it apart and reinsert it. Apparently it had loosened somehow. Now it works great and the status under settings show the external power status as “good.” I did let the solar panel sit in strong sun for a day before using it. Note that you need to take out any batteries, and the battery that the solar panel charges is built into it, and from what I can tell, cannot be replaced. The instructions are a little out of date, because on the Accessories page it shows a picture of a battery, but that is not separately included. It does come with a doorbell adapter, which I didn’t need and is not shown in the instructions. Overall though, I’m very pleased with this unit and highly recommend it. If things change as I use it more, I will update this review. For now, five stars.

I bought this solar panel for my Blink camera, and it works perfectly! The charging efficiency is impressive, even on cloudy days, and it provides a reliable, uninterrupted power source for the camera. Installation was straightforward, and the 360° rotatable mount made it easy to position for maximum sunlight exposure. The IP65 waterproof design ensures durability in all weather conditions. Overall, it’s a fantastic addition that saves me the hassle of replacing batteries. Highly recommend!

I like that with this solar charger I'm not going to have to keep charging my blink camera anymore, they can be a huge pain to keep taking down. I did have to use my own AA battery but I'm just so glad I no longer have to scale the side of my house to recharge the camera anymore.
