I've bought several versions of these from different suppliers and while all a little different these are by far my favorite for places you might want to easily adjust. They have a button on the front to change settings so not great security wise as someone could turn them off BUTTT to have around/in my chicken coops, around the house and driveway for lighting they are great since I could adjust them as needed and they are very bright. I did have one that stopped working quite as well but I think it was a fluke and the seller was great in issuing a refund since it was only one of four. For the price it's definitely worth it and I like the setting options. Favorite use is areas I walk the dogs and don't need light all the time but want better lighting in the minefield.

Almost 1 year update March 20, 2024: I'm glad to say that they still rock. HOWEVER, the sun has taken a toll on them and melted the hot glue that holds the solar panels in. This causes the solar panels to literally slide off and it opens up a huge gap for water to get in, damaging the insides. A couple of mine leaked and there are now a few dead LEDs but not enough to affect its overall performance. There is a solution to the melting and leakage: Resin. I used a heat gun to melt the glue and put it back to where it was supposed to be and once secured, I put a bead of UV cured resin around the edge of the panel. This seals the gap so absolutely no water can get in and it locks the solar panel in place no matter how hot it gets. They really should do this at the factory but for the price... it's an easy fix. If you don't have resin, super glue it in place, open up the back side and seal the hole where the solar panel wires go through with silicone caulking. While you're at it, seal the back with caulk, too, to make it 100% water tight. I deducted a star because of this design issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original review: April 2023 The box comes with 4 lights, mounting screws and hardware, and double sided tape. I went with my own brass wood screws into my fence for installation. The solar wall lamp hasa 3 modes: 1) Off until motion is detected then full power for 18s, 2) night light always on and full power when motion detected (18s), 3) night light only (no full brightness when motion detected) I tested mode 2 and after 6 hours of charging outside, the night light lasted overnight. It turned on at 6pm and it was still going strong at 7am. The motion sensor worked great and the sensitivity is high enough for small animals like cats and possum to trigger the light. The product claims to be IP65 water resistant which is perfectly fine for rain and occasional splashes. It s NOT waterproof so don't try using it in a flood or under water in the pool! With a little work, it could be made to be waterproof, though. Apply some silicone rubber here and there and you could have a pretty decent waterproof motion activated light. The best part about this light is the brightness. it's double the brightness of my previous lights and it was actually a great upgrade (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091CQDBNG). My words don't do justice to how nice the light is so take a look at the nightlight and full brightness mode photos. It's literally night and day. what really helps is that the lights are on 3 sides of the lamp rather than just the front so you have full 180 degree coverage. Another convenience is that the unit is quite easy to take a apart should the rechargable battery inside eventually die. Kudos to the designers for making it replaceable rather than soldering the battery in. All in all, I really like the lights and will most definately be replacing my smaller lights with these in the very near future!

These Arperles Solar Outdoor lights are bright, easy to mount, and the mode switch button on the front makes it easy to choose the function option you want to use. I found the motion sensor range and sensitivity a bit disappointing compared to other motion-activated lights I’ve used. Several times I had to walk right up to one of these Arperles lights and exaggeratedly wave my hand in front of it to get the light to turn on. And on the flip side, the lights sometimes turn off after the initial 18-second burst even when you are still moving around right in front of it (as in moving stuff from the car into the house). But the biggest and most problematic disappointment is summed up in the title of this review (and the attached photos). After only one week on the job, and one rainstorm this weekend, one of these supposedly rugged waterproof lights has water inside and has stopped working. Hmm… P.S. I opened up the leaky light and found there were no gaskets or other forms of sealant around the back panel, the screw openings, or where the solar panel is seated. The contact points on the battery were wet and already rusting, and there were small pools of water in various areas around the interior. It appears that water entered primarily through small openings where the solar panel snaps into the top of the unit. Using desiccant packets, I dried out the light. I de-soldered the battery, cleaned its contact points, and re-soldered the wires to the battery. I put waterproof sealant and/or silicone grease at every opening in the body of the light, and closed it up. It is working again. Of course, the kind of waterproofing I did could have...and should have...been done at the factory when these lights were put together.

Bright light's but charge doesn’t hold up as advertised. Over all great buy but would have invested few extra bucks for longer battery life. Positive note easy to select between modes compared to other units.
