I received this product for evaluation. I planned to use these outdoor lights to decorate my garden. I expect that the lights look pretty. My expectations were met, and the quality is great. Pros: - The lights are nice looking, the plastic looks like glass, and the small size is exactly what I wanted. - The colors are as follows: 13 rose, 12 yellow, 13 green and 12 blue. - It includes several flashing patters, fading, a demo mode and steady ON function options. - It remembers the setting when you turn them ON again. - They seem to be sturdy and they did not break when I accidentally dropped them from a 3ft height. Cons: - What I did not like is that the control of the functions is on the power plug. So, if I plug it on a strip on the floor or hidden behind a planter, I will need to bend over to change the functions. - The light colors are preset and you can't change this. - There were no instructions included in the box. The product description in Amazon (see enclosed print screen picture) mentioned that you can control the lights with an App but there was no bar code to help me find this App. I also searched the company name in the Google play store and did not find anything at this time. I gave the product a 4 star rating instead of 5 because the description says the there is an App when I found none and there were no instructions in the box.

This strand is about 7 ft long with small globe lights. The are great for adding decorative color to a small space both inside or outside. The end plug is a bit short so needs extension cord or a close outlet to plug into. The lights add subtle lighting not extremely bright and the 8 different modes make it fun.

First, let me be clear that this review is for these lights that are plug-in only; I did not order solar powered lights, so I cannot speak to the function of them on solar power. These string lights are nice, soft colors, and with the slower fade option, they make for nice mood lighting in my office. In fact, I often find myself turning off other lights at the end of a long day, and finishing up my work by the soft soothing glow of these lights. I’ve had them going nonstop for a couple of months now, and they’re still working fine, with no bulbs burned out and no problems at all. As others have pointed out, the one design feature I do not like is that the way you change the options for them is located on the plug, so it’s not very accessible, really. I don’t know if that is still true on the solar powered set. One thing I do like about the various options is that there is one setting that cycles through a short sample of each of the available options. So, for instance, it shows the flashing display for a few seconds, then the slow fade in/out for a few seconds, then the intermittent flashing, etc. That helps me figure out which one I want to look for as I cycle through the available ones when I want to change the setting for a bit. There weren’t instructions included, but they’re pretty easy to use. I’d say they’re at a bit of a high price point, except that their staying power does put them a cut above many other string lights I’ve owned.

Really nice small strand of lights. Perfect for bookcase accents etc... 8 different lighting modes. downside is the mode switcher is on the cord and not a separate remote (meaning you need to be in close proximity to alter the mode. Not a big deal but just something to note. Overall - very pleased and brightens up my child's room quite well!

These are bright and colorful lights, but the quality of the plug makes me question how safe it would be to use them outdoors in any kind of damp environment. It's fine though since I planned to use them inside anyway. You can cycle through the different modes (solid, flashing, slowly dimming, etc.) with the button on the plug. The strand doesn't weigh very much so it makes hanging them very easy.

I wanted some outdoor lights that I could use to decorate our small back door porch, where we let the dogs in and out - providing a low constant glow at night-time. These lights did the trick! The various light modes CAN operate in a Christmas-style "chasing or throbbing" mode -- but the slo-glo mode just provides a gentle low-intensity pulsation of light which is not too distracting or annoying. I'm pairing this with an outdoor plug that has a light sensor, so the lights kick on from dusk to dawn. The bulbs are very sturdy, like individual marbles encased around each bulb -- no chance of accidentally breaking the bulb unless you really smashed it in a door or something. The bulbs don't get hot (LED baby!), so very safe to have around small kids or inquisitive animals.
