The lights seem to work very well. If they can get a full day's worth of sun. The place I have them gets about a half day's worth of sun, so the lights don't last all night. This light turned out so cute! I like that it's solar AND motion sensitive, so it charges with the sun, and only turns on when you pass by (depending on the setting). You can also set it to be on all the time, and to dim when no one is around, but then brighten when motion is detected. I prefer it to just be on if someone passes, then off again in 15 seconds when they're gone. It's a great traditional style, and appears very weatherproof. It's made of plastic, so it was light enough that I was able to hang it on my stucco column with just strong adhesive stickies (those were not included, but I forgot to take a pic of the back before I put them on - there are screws and anchors included if you want to put it up more permanently somewhere). The button on the front is simple: 1 press for on with motion/off when gone; 2 presses for bright/dim motion detection; and 3 presses for on all the time; the 4th press turns it off. It's been hanging up there several nights now, and it's just so useful and adorable, it's definitely a bargain for the price. ... show more

This outdoor solar light has a motion detector which brightens the lightbulb when motion is detected. There are 3 light modes. Push button switch on front enables you to easily change modes. This is well made and looks good on a wall, post or railing. It's all plastic. The crystal clear panels on 3 sides help illuminate the light. They are 2 3/4 inches high. The panel behind the lightbulb is white, which also helps it reflect further. The sensor is sensitive and the light comes on immediately when a person is nearby. I installed this easily. There are two screw holes at the top of the light. No screws included. The back of the light fixture is solid, flat plastic so you could use stick on strips if you prefer. I think it's an attractive light. The edison style bulb gives it a little more class. I like everything about this light. I'm ordering more! ... show more

I am really very happy with this solar light. I needed a light over the walkway between my garage and home. This works perfectly. It is well made and it comes on when someone passes, lighting up the path just fine. I hung it about 7 feet above the ground. It is very well made and is very attractive as it looks just like a regular light because it has a bulb! There are 3 different light modes - I chose for the light to come on when motion is detected and then go off but there are other choices to fit your needs. The solar panel is large and it has worked perfectly every day. Simple installation with just 2 provided screws. I would highly recommend. ... show more

Unfortunately, unlike most of the reviews shown, this solar light failed to work. The light was set outside for two day to properly charge but did not activate at night. The push button on the front worked at first but after trying to change the operating mode, the push button stayed depressed and would not pop out without a lot of manipulating. I ordered this light due to its nice look, having a motion sensor and three modes of operation. I hope this is just a one-off defect, which it may be due to the number of positive reviews. ... show more

Plus the best part- the color of the bulb is super attractive. It is a nice golden hue that actually provides adequate lighting that helps you see well in the darkness.
