When this item was delivered and I opened the box, my first thought, "It's so little." I suppose my bias. Yet, I hesitated to install it in the garage/garbage bin area I ordered for thinking, "why bother? It's not going to be enough." Sometimes, I love to be wrong. I know! Easy to install. I never worry about enough sun...I live in L.A. I did install it in the morning to give the item a bit more than eight hours to gather sun. That night, after saving my garbage to take out until night, I walked over to the bins and "Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Let there be light! And it was good." Okay! It was great.

Simple to install took minutes, good design with extra long cable allows optimal placement of solar collector and light/motion detector. Set unit to 1st mode: motion, lit tractor shed well while putting things away at night. Also loved very small remote uses button battery takes up little space to store! The way I'm using this is I'm staking both parts on the ground yet separated due to the 16' extension cord. I got it to have a motion light on the shady side of my porch. So far it seems okay, I haven't had a real sunny day to fully charge it yet. Here's how I'm using it in case you want to try it similarly: * I actually glued the plastic pieces that attach, one to the solar panel and the other to the light itself. * I used thin metal stakes to place each on the ground at the desired angles respectively. * Attach the cord. * The solar panel gets sun on sunny days on one side of my porch. * Right around the corner is the light and I set it on "strong light sensor mode" which means it lights up due to motion, then it turns off in about 20 seconds. I think it's okay in terms of value. I was looking for this exact type of solar light and it suits my purpose.

this outdoor solar light is smaller than I was expecting but it is very easy to install. It comes with the mounting bracket so all you have to do is make sure you are getting sunlight to the solar panel. with the 16 ft of cable you can mount the light just about anywhere. There are 3 mode settings to choose from I have it on mode three so it stays on at 25% all night long.

I am pretty happy with this motion sensor light. The light itself is a bit smaller than I expected. It is a little smaller than my hand. When you use Mode 3, the light just stays on when it gets dark but you have no control of how bright it is. This setting is a little dim for me, it doesn't illuminate very large of an area like when you use Mode 1 and you get its bright setting for 20 seconds after it detects movement. So, it works great but wish I could choose the light intensity in Mode 3. The solar panel is smaller compared to other solar lights I have as well.

The media could not be loaded. Wow, I have a rubbermaid shed that I never ran power to and this was an easy, simple and 15 minute project from start to finish to add lighting to my rubbermaid shed. This came with PLENTY of wiring to run the solar panel on one side of my shed (that gets full sun) to the exact oposite around the sides of my 7' x 7' shed with probably 3' of wiring to spare. I was able to put the wiring around the paremeter of my shed and then back to the opposite peak side of the roof. I included some pictures of the installed project and a video. While I wasn't able to get the light to come on while charging (which I actually like, I went out at 11pm to get something out of there and no more digging around looking for a flashlight because this lit up my entire shed from end to end (all 49 square feet) but seriously it was plenty bright enough to do anything you need while its on. It stays on roughly a minute and goes right back out which is exactly what I needed. I'm very impressed with this solar light and would work great for many projects. I love solar lighting and this is a decent kit, especially when you need to run a light where solar lighting maybe isn't in a good location. Recommendations: 1) Include better screws that are less likely to rust, I swapped mine out for some stainless steel which I already owned. 2) Solar panel seems a bit small if you are frequently using this light. Again not a problem for me but for others or northern folks where the sun doesn't shine all that much, it might be a bigger concern. All in all, I'm happy with this light and brightness. Would recommend!

So, have a strip of yard between the patio doors (well lighted) and the back area (really well lighted). Needed something to light no man land (no comments on lack of grass - have a no stop dog). This light might seem small, but it provides great light and installation is awesome. Love when the solar source can be separated from the light - not all locations seem to get adequate sun. These guys actually provided a solar panel bracket on top of the light to keep it simple. I separated them, because I'm not sure how much coverage I will get and may move the panel to the facia on the side. As an aside, do not take pictures showing 'dark' with a flash. The light has 3 modes - picked @2 as I don't have issues with a dusk to dawn dim going bright with activity. Instruction do state to press the button on the back - light lit (didn't expect a battery charge). The remote will turn it on and off and set the 3 modes - need to be close but saves the ladder needing to stay there. The solar panel has like 11 feet of cable so plenty of room to find a good spot. Bottom line, a mighty light.
