This is a much better than average, automatic chicken door. With solar power, you don't have to worry about it adding to your electric, it has lots of function options for when to close, and a remote control! It's easy to install with the right tools, and makes coop close-up a far less annoying chore every night. If it holds up and continues to operate smoothly, we'll definitely be getting more of this one.

This chicken coop door is really heavy duty being made out of aluminum alloy and has some weight. It appears to be great quality and runs automatically from rechargeable solar power. The included solar panel must therefore be placed in an area where there is direct sunlight but it comes with a long cable so the panel can be moved some distance away from the door if needed. This door has three different operating modes to choose from. The time-based mode allows you program it to open and close at fixed times. The light-sensitive mode will automatically open the door during daylight and close in the evening at dusk. In intelligent-mode it will adjust the door closing time based upon the outside brightness level. The door can also be manually controlled by using the included mini remote control or the buttons on the door display. This product also has a memory function so it will retain all the programmed settings in case a manual shutdown is needed. This door has infrared and pressure settings embedded on it so that if there is an obstruction in the doorway the door will reopen. It is waterproof and dustproof and is a beautiful pewter grey color. There are no rough or sharp edges that could hurt the chickens and it is designed to operate in a temp range from -10 up to 140 degrees! This door looks very easy to install and includes screws and anchors for the install. I ordered this chicken coop door for a friend who owns a ranch here in southern Colorado and recently lost all his chickens to some varmint. Based upon the great quality and features of this product I recommend it to others.

What a great invention that you would never realize you need until you have it and you can't go back to having a manual door for chickens. It was relatively easy to install and didn't take long. And it works fantastically.

What better way to let the ducks out in the morning? I really love this door. it goes to the side instead of up and down so the ducks don't fight to get out. It's really sturdy and it works well. I like that it's pretty dang durable (had a dog try to get in and it didn't work for the dog) and it's easy to clean. the ducks have gotten their rhythm with it and no one gets left outside at night. it's a good buy.

I haven’t had chickens very long, but this is making my life so much easier. It allows me to have safely secured chickens even when I’m running around busy with other things and can’t close the chicken run or coop for the night. It works great via solar power and by remote. I’m able to use the remote from about 80 feet away and through a building and it still will work. I had trouble in the beginning getting it to close without thinking something was in the way, but it seems to have figured itself out and doesn’t do that anymore. If you’re thinking about trying an automatic door, I would say it’s a great investment.

The media could not be loaded. Was able to charge with a USB charger. High quality metal door. Comes with a remote which is cool, mounting hardware is high quality weather resistant. Buttons on the unit also open it. Timer seems easy to understand.
