I love the sol de Janeiro brand it all smells so delicious. However, once you apply to the hair, it still smells good when the hair is dry it no longer has that sol de janeiro smell. And that’s a shame however it does make my hair not feel dry. I love how it does add a little bit of shine to my hair I would purchase it is a bit pricier so I don’t use it all the time.

Obsessed is an understatement! The Sol de Janeiro shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling so soft, shiny, and healthy—not to mention the smell is absolutely heavenly. Every wash feels like a mini spa day. My hair is easier to manage, has way more bounce, and stays fresh so much longer compared to other products I’ve tried. And the body spray? Pure perfection. The scent is tropical, warm, and lasts all day without being overpowering. I get compliments every time I wear it. It ties everything together so I feel like I just stepped off the beach in Brazil. I love how this brand never misses. The quality, the scent, and the way it makes me feel are unmatched. Definitely worth every penny!

I’m pretty picky about my shampoo and conditioner, and these nearly ticked every box for me. My hair type: fine, straight hair, prone to getting oily on the scalp with dried ends. Try to only wash my hair about every 3 days. Oiliness/greasiness: didn’t leave my hair feeling oily or with a greasy feel. Using a little dry shampoo between my washes worked just fine with these products. Scent: the absolute best of any shampoo/conditioner I’ve ever used, I could smell my hair all day! Feel: The only downside of this product, it did leave my hair more frizzy than normal, I use a leave in conditioner on the ends of my hair after I shower, but even with that my hair was for frizzy than normal. Overall: Such a great smelling product that doesn’t leave a greasy feel on my hair, if only I could get the balance of it not leaving my hair frizzy this product would be perfect. Honestly, I will probably still use it occasionally, though, just because it smells so good!

This is honestly one of the best-smelling shampoos I’ve ever tried. It has a warm, tropical scent with a touch of nuttiness that makes it feel luxurious — not like the overly sweet or artificial tropical fragrances out there. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t perform well for my hair type. I have thin, fine hair that’s half virgin and half bleach-damaged from growing out old highlights. It doesn’t give enough hydration to my damaged ends, leaving them dry and a little “Velcro-like,” while the natural hair near my scalp feels weighed down and slightly sticky. It also takes much longer for my hair to air-dry — around eight hours compared to about one hour when I use Redken or Pureology. After washing, my hair never feels purely clean, and it’s noticeably harder to detangle. Overall, while I adore the scent and packaging, the formula didn’t work for my fine, partially damaged hair. It performs similarly to Pantene in terms of results for my texture, so I probably wouldn’t repurchase — but someone with thicker or less damaged hair might love it.
