The remote gave me some troubles because it wouldn't work unless i put it in a certain area. Other than that this product is amazing and the light is very bright but you can dim it down with remote. The remote also works with my LED lights even though their different brands. I recommend for the price. ... show more

I dabble in photography. Very amateur, but hey, I enjoy it. I wanted some portable colored lighting for some different portraits. Being USB powered, this seemed like a great idea. I can run it off an adapter at home, or off of a power brick when traveling. Nice light. Want to add "sunset" colors to a portrait? DONE. Want to make something feel candlelit? Eh, it's a decent approximation. Dramatic colors - sure. Just make sure if you use it with photography you have some additional light or a fast lens, because this thing, while really neat, isn't super-duper bright (plenty for a naked eye, a stretch for many lenses without cranking ISO - like natural light at dusk, I suppose).
