This bed was rather easy to put together but definitly need another person, so not a one man operation! Once its up it is very solid. Our 12 year fits great and is very comforable up there. We dont have it bolted to the wall yet and it only moves just a little not like others we have seen. Once it gets bolted I wont expect to hear or see it wiggle. It really is quite sturdy without though.

The setup was a bit difficult, a little bit of arguing through our "team". But the product is good! The shelves can't hold much and are a little loss but can hold stuff under 15 pounds. If you don't get the bed attached to the wall it's very wiggly when you climb the ladder. It's a good bed though and has good support, can weigh way more than the weight limit.

It took three people to figure out how to build this because the instructions are not clear and they do not guide you…. If you read the rest of my review, I will be helping you with the instructions at least with step three because that’s where the problems are. **Then it was down to two people. one left Because he did not have the patience, when we got to step three that’s where the Sass and disagreements began** So my son and I, myself being his mom had to guide him through and we took a lot of breaks to brainstorm step 2 through 4 because step three is just an illustration on how to assemble where the mattress will lay. This would look clear, but it does not instruct you on whether you need to build it from the top of the frame or assemble it from below and then lift and connect. This is where we went Rogue after we figured it out on our own. Step 4: 16 circled is the horizontal bar. This is how we built the top of the frame after you get step one and two done (FYI make sure you have every hole on the bars in the exact spots or you’re going have to take it apart in order to fit other parts together, so don’t tighten those bolts) attach number 14 the guard bar to the 5’s it will be the back of the frame, next attach the horizontal bar, then you will want to find two slats 13 screw those into the guard bar first there’s only two places you can screw those into, next you attach all the 12’s they will lay across the horizontal bar 16 then you will grab guard bar number 15 this will be the front of the frame that attaches to the ladder. You will need somebody to hold that up while you slide the other side of the 12s in to each hole until it completely slides in then attach guard bar to the 5’s and then you can screw in the other two 13’s after the top frame is secure once you get that top frame secured in and you moving to the desk part it gets easier Make sure the whole frame of the bed is not completely screwed in tight because you need it loose enough to get 11 in and for the desktop number 17 to fit in securely, if it does not fit in, it means your frame is too tight so loosen it you can tighten everything back up once the boards are in place on the frame of the bed after that just tighten it up get your shelves in and you’re done This loft would be an easy build if these instructions were clear and told you exactly where each hole had to be set otherwise it’d be less redoing the frame and less arguing but if you were doing this unprepared and fighting with these instructions set aside three hours because that is how long it took us to build this dang frame!!
