  • A pain in the a&$ to put together! But worth the money.
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: Grey
I love this bunk bed. I bought it because me and my 7 y.o. daughter live in a 1 bedroom apartment, and I wanted her to have her own bed. Well, It was super hard to put together. The directions are horrible and there are no youtube videos so it took a few times taking it apart and reassembling to put in parts that I missed. I ended up paying someone to finish it. But I love it. Its sturdy, has good storage and looks Beautiful in our bedroom! ... show more

  • Very convenient
Size: Twin over Twin (Stairs+3 Drawers) Color: Espresso
My boys love the bunkbed and it’s very sturdy. The only issue that I’ve had so far was that when I received it on the stairs, it had pieces of wood chipped, which I left photo proof but other than that I would definitely recommend to a parent that is wanting their child’s room to be more spacious and plus it also comes with the drawers so you can put toys or clothing. ... show more

  • Terrible
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: White
This product was almost impossible to put together. The instructions were just pictures. Hardware was mixed together either not labeled or poorly labeled. I finished 4 steps of the 16, hired someone to complete the rest and it took the expert another 4 hours. I wish I could request my money back.

  • Average at best
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: White
What can I say about this bed... I think Marcus Aurelus said it best "...You get what you pay for" Now that's not necessarily a bad thing, if you set your bar pretty low. I was mostly OK with a terrible paint job, warped wood and some minor quality control issues. So here is a brief overview of my experience with the Softsea bunk bed. Instructions were generally easy to follow, and with the exception of one piece, all the pre drilled holes and threads lined up where they were supposed to be. Thats not to say certain parts didnt require some modifications (see picture 3, where we had to custom drill some holes for a stair piece). Assembly took a generous 4 hours with many brakes in between and help from a toddler. The wood is warped, no pretty way to say it. Its cheap pine (maybe?) however, after you lock everything down and tighten, it fits together pretty snug. Just be careful not to overtighten. Unfortunately, the back to the bottom drawer is warped to hell, and I dont think it can be saved. So its very likely we will not be using the bottom drawer, which is a shame since that is a big reason why we went with this model. The paint job is pretty bad, it is clear that the quality control standards in Vietnam are pretty low at softsea. Many black handprints embedded in the paint, luckily its in parts largely unseen. But still... it's pretty bad. On the visible parts, you can see runs, yellowing and uneven layers. Some places the paint is so thin that we had to add a few layers, so clothes and sheets don't get caught in the poorly finished wood. Like I said before, the wood is super cheap, so if using a drill to put this together take your time and go slow otherwise you'll split the boards. I was pretty careful, but still had 2 side supports split a good 4-6 inches. All in all, once together its pretty sturdy. I was worried that the stair attachment would be an afterthought, but it is integrated into the construction pretty well. There are plenty of slats to put a mattress on which is great, but again be careful here as they're cut short and most are warped. Last thing ill mention is that this is not two beds stacked, but the side pieces are one solid unit. So great choice if you are looking for a sturdy bunk bed, but a bunk is all this will ever be. Would I buy this again? Probably not. But there is no way I'm taking this apart and sending it back. If this was on prime free shipping and you got this in the $700 price point, it would probably be fine if your bar is set pretty low. But pushing $900 with shipping, its almost worthwhile buying local for the same price and paying $100 for assembly. ... show more

  • Confusing at first but great overall!
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: Grey
Receiving the product took some time as it is shipped out in separate boxes. The assembling of the product overall took maybe 2 days (had to work so will take maybe 1 day with free time) and the parts were all available. There was one screw that seemed worn and we could not use it but it didn't end up being much of an issue. Admittedly, we were worried about the top bunk holding weight but seems like it is doing fine so far! Fair warning, if you have a thick full mattress you may not have much head space. Learned that the hard way lol. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: White
I have worked in furniture assembly for 6 years and this has taken me all day to build. Most of the holes were not lined up correctly at all. We had to re-drill several. Some of the holes that we could not pre-drill because of hardware pre-installed (the inserts, etc) were off so much it don’t even fit inside; leaving a pretty visible gap. The wood has split in several areas which we had to re-glue and clamp down. This was due to several of the pre-drilled holes being off-center up to 1/8 of an inch and sometimes the screws would even go through. I would even suspect assembler-error but I have been doing similar things for years and even worked as quality control at my company and these holes were drilled CROOKED, and/or OFF-CENTERED. Some of the parts of they were lined up correctly went together just fine but at least 1/4 to 1/3 of them were wrong. I was super frustrated with the overall quality of the manufacturing construction as well as the quality of the wood. We received several pieces that came split, scratched or bent. I was sad because my daughter has been wanting this bed for a long time and received it as a Christmas present. It has taken my entire Christmas Day putting it together and I’m determined to make it work even though I’m highly disappointed. Buy something a little more money but better quality. ... show more

  • Disappointed
Size: Twin over Full/Twin(Stairs+Drawers) Color: White
The directions are very vague. Took 3 people and 8 hours to assemble. Some of the pieces were damaged, thank God we could hide that. Really wish we could've picked which end the stairs could go on. This does seem sturdy so far. The drawer underneath is one large drawer, not on a track and is kinda awkward. It will serve the purpose, but definitely dissatisfied considering the price I was expecting a little better quality. Holes didn't always line up. Very hard to assemble and time consuming. ... show more
