I have the 1 liter bottle which was included with the SodaStream Package I bought at Walmart. Problem for me was that the effervescence was all but gone by the time I got down to the final 1โ-2โ level. Probably after about 6-8 hours. Not a problem with these smaller bottles. I refill them twice as often and most of the time thereโs nothing much left at the end of the day.

For the many who spend their time answering what they don't know or pretend they do, these bottle expire in 2026. The expiration refers to how long the bottle will be able to keep the carbonated water fizzy as the screw on top will over time loose it's sealing ability. It doesn't have anything to do with "naturally expiring in your lifetime" etc. Make sure you check the date on the bottle as these weren't visible in the pics provided.

Like any human who has enjoyed a beverage, I used to be confident and adept at using bottles. SodaStream in 2022 feels the traditional experience is deficient and risky. The new SodaStream bottles are optimized to teach you how to use a bottle. Safely. Every time. At the bottom of each bottle are eight 1cm Ikea-style glyphs that infer how to use a bottle, sort of like the warning messages that pop up when you use a modern car stereo or old DVD player. The glyphs are more cryptic than standard warning messages. I believe you are expected to read the manual, memorize the meaning of each propriety glyph, and then enjoy reflecting on that profound and unique knowledge whenever you take a drink. With the highest level of legal-contingency certainty, the glyphs are permanently printed on the bottle under the refill line โ apparently a removable sticker wasn't sufficient. This further optimizes the experience by reminding you how to use a bottle every time you refill the bottle, just in case you accidentally obscure the safety icons while drinking.
