I’ve had a Topeak Joe Blow for close to 10 years or as long as I remember. Taking on trips and daily use before each ride. Over the years I ’ve replaced the connector and some Frankenstein fixes to keep it going until I finally admitted that the pressure was less and less accurate anymore. This new model has a side lever lock instead of top side which I like better. Previously I pulled too hard on occasions to create small tear at the base of the tube valve and resulted in a forgettable ride experience. The only minor complaint I would have is that the pump tube is slightly shorter which makes it a bit of a reach to pump my rear tire while on the bike stand. But that’s REAL neat picking. I just hope it can last half as long as the previous one and I’ll more than get my money back. ... show more

Very difficult to attach and detach the pump head to/from a schrader valve. Firstly, it's hard to push and pull the pump head onto/from the valve; very easy to slam knuckles onto wheel spokes when removing the pump head. Secondly, it's hard to move the lever into position, especially with the narrow gap between wheel spokes. This has been true of other pumps I've owned in the past. Can't pump manufactures have figured out a better design by now? Also, there's a settable indicator on the gauge that you can use to mark your preferred pressure, but on mine the indicator is too loose and won't stay in position. I have an air compressor but it’s noisy and loud & I ride a brompton with tiny tires that need 100 psi. Instead of waiting a mortal age and listening to the compressor do it’s noisy thing— it’s literally two to three pumps from this floor pump and it’s back up to the 100 psi I needed! Used on both types of valve stems, with no adapter needed for my high pressure tires. The pump is solid with the exception that the chuck does not seal on the valve stem properly. This makes it impossible to accurately inflate to a particular or consistent pressure. I was able to fix the problem by wrapping plumbers tape around the bushing inside the chuck to close the seal. It works perfectly now. ... show more
