I live in VA, so we don’t get a lot of snow. (Not like Upstate NY!) For context, I bought this several years ago and I’ve only used it up to five times. I used it again today and it really did a beautiful job. I live in an apartment so I’m only clearing one spot, but with a bad back, that’s a lot. We got about 5” overnight. It was kind of wet underneath, but on top was pretty light. I ran this thing like a vacuum cleaner between cars without worry. I moved my vehicle out of the way and I swear it was just like vacuuming a rug. It did bog down with the heavier snow, but if you take your time and don’t try to choke it, it is more than capable. Also, if I bogged it down too much, it just stopped until it could move again. This only shoots snow straight ahead, which is great for use between vehicles, but the back of the spot collected a lot of heavier snow. That’s where that second handle becomes a brilliant idea. I can lift the machine (in pretty good balance) to skim the top of the snow, making the snowbank much more digestible. Half, or a quarter overlap and you’ll be fine. I wish that it had a metal ice scraper on the edge of the shovel, like most good shovels have. It works great with no lifting except to walk back and forth to start a new path. Be sure to shovel against the wind, otherwise the snow will blow back at you and you will be covered with snow, 😆 The battery held up well right out the box. I used it to clear all my sidewalks and entire driveway without a recharge. I had about 4-5 inches of snow to remove, which took about 45 minutes and the battery had one level left. I wish that the shovel was about 20 inches wide as this would have made it perfect. Key is to position the shovel at an angle when moving forward to get to shovel deep enough to the ground to minimize multiple passes. ... show more

The item arrived damaged and did not function properly. The charger was defective and would not charge correctly. Additionally, the product failed to pick up snow as advertised due to the low-quality plastic material it was made from. Overall, the item felt cheaply made despite its high price. So far so good. I was able to remove 3-4 inches of snow off my 2 car driveway, front door, and 15 x 15 square foot patio all on one battery charge. Only issue is I wish it had a baffle however if you use it like a shovel it’s amazing! I would highly recommend!
