  • Easy to install
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
This is a great product. It fits very well a CX-5 2024. Materials are very good, all metal. The only plastic you get are this little caps that you put in place to cover this holes on the side bars (long ones). I honestly have no idea what was the need to have those openings/holes there. Other than that, the installation is simple and quick. I did it in 2 parts, so it would feel less tedious and also because my garage was super hot. First, I did the side bars (long ones). I used simple pliers to grab the screws by the head and place them in place. This prevented them from falling into that groove that many mention. I did not have any problems. I got them all started and at the end I tightened them up from the trunk to the front. It all felt in place smoothly. The next morning, I did the cross bars. After reading all the comments I was expecting all sort of problems but truth to be told, it couldn’t have been easier and simpler. Tips: 1. if you are short get a tall ladder so you can see where the heads of the screws are to tighten them up. 2. Also always place all the screws, start them but leave them somehow a bit loose so you have room to move/adjust whatever you need. 3. It was very useful to watch a YouTube video: “How to install a roof rack on a 2017+ Mazda CX-5 with NO TOOLS” The video mentions that they had to apply force to place the front crossbar. I did not need to do that. ... show more

Great product for the price. If you watch a few youtube videos the install went smoothly. It took about 90 minutes.

  • Great buy!
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
The instructions are almost useless, they skip over several important steps, but I expected this from reading reviews and found a YouTube video VERY helpful. That given, it was not too difficult - took my husband and I under 2 hours. Looks wise it’s fantastic. It does not interfere with my sunroof. As for durability I haven’t done anything too heavy yet, just a luggage bag but it did the job. Overall, I love the look it’s added to my 2024 Mazda CX-5. ... show more

  • great product, bad instructions
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
I watched a few YouTube videos showing how easy these were to install, and with the great pricing, I decided to get some for my 2021 Cx-5. I was quite surprised to see what a great quality these are for the price, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade without factory pricing. My only complaint is the instructions. They are very vague and left out a VERY important part. There are plastic screws installed in the rails that use a different size Torx than the one provided. MOST people do not have Torx drivers in their toolbox and it would be good to know. Also, it would be much easier to take them out of the rails BEFORE you install the rails. If you don't, its tedious work that ended up with a few small scratches on roof of my car. Had i not already installed the caps, I would have just taken the rail off to get the screws out. This alone made me want to leave a 1 star review, but I'm not that guy. These are good quality and deserve a good rating. ... show more

  • CX5 Roof Rack and Rails (Black)
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
The products (rails & crossbars) take about 1 to 2 hours to install. The crossbars were a little more difficult because of the accessibility. Overall, quite easy though. They black rails and crossbars look incredibly sleek on my gray CX5. The items were delivered quickly and were packaged nicely. The instructions were easy to understand. They note a 165 pound weight limit, which should be plenty. The front crossbars does overlook the sunroof, although the sunroof is still fully functional. This is a great product and probably equal to and half the price of OEM (Mazda) brand. This is the only company/brand that offered black rails, which was the deciding factor. ... show more

  • Bad rails
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
Terrible, no quality check or anything. 2 of the rail threads were bored at the wrong size and was so tight it actually squished the thread. Thought it was just a little tight.

  • DOES NOT FIT A 2018 MAZDA CX5 AWD GRAND TOURING
Style: Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025
Overall, I am satisfied with this product BUT I went through so much hassle. I should mention I own a 2018 Mazda CX-5 AWD Grand Touring. TL;DR: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR THIS MODEL. BUYER BE ADVISED. To begin, instructions are somewhat clear. My biggest issue was interpetting how to orient the metal spaces over the weld nuts–up or down? The illustration will easily fool you to think up, reading reviews and watching Youtube videos will reveal this common confusion. I spent 1+ hours trying to fit the rails on with the metal spaces in the wrong orientation that—to no surprise—was not correct. Only referencing an outside source, a Youtube video, helped me correct this. Second, the bolts to mount the rail to the weld nut measures almost exactly the length to reach the weld nut. Sounds nice in theory, but in practice is cumbersome as you have to apply downward pressure to engage the bolt into the nut. Another problem with a relatively short bolt is that when you place them through the opening slot in the rail, you might lose the bolt in the hollow space of the rail. A very frustrating procedure to fetch the bolt that requires you to unmount the entire rail. If the bolt was longer, it'd be easier to guide it into the hole. Third, most frustrating portion of installing, is the length of the crossbars which are identical! I don't know if this was a manufacturing error. I received both crossbars which were equal in length. This is a problem because from front to back the rails taper. I had no issues installing the front crossbar, BUT the back was a nightmare. Even after I adjusted the crossbars to the shortest possible length, leaving the bolts out, the bar hung over both sides of the rails (??). I attempted to push the back crossbar, fitting it from the front where it would fit nicely. There was NO chance I could manually push the crossbar so it would align with the bolt holes. I had to stop pushing the crossbar back because at a certain point the railing itself was starting to BEND. Even more frustrating, I ended up scraping, denting the rail as a result (see photo). As a last ditch effort, I used a jigsaw to cut 3/4". And voila, after 2 painstaking hours the bar was snug over the bolt holes. If this wasn't a manufacturer error, please remove that it fits a 2018 Mazda CX-5. Fourth, I don't have a solution for this but the design can certainly be improved to allow the installation of the crossbars onto the rails to be easier. Unless you have power tools, turning the allen wrench to tighten any of the bolts is extremely time consuming as you can only rotate the wrench maybe 30-40 degrees each turn. This happens because the bolt hole is located between your car's roof and the crossbar—an extremely narrow space! Maybe if the bolt holes were located on top, clear of an obstacles, the installation would be less tedious. Overall, the roof rack feels bomber and solid, BUT the instruction and installation was a nightmare. This whole process took me almost 5 hours from start to finish. Even if you properly orientated the spacers, didn't lose any bolts in the rail, and the crossbars were appropriate length, you'd be LUCKY to finish this in less than an hour by yourself. ALL BUYERS PLEASE BE AWARE. ... show more
