Was going on a long trip and needed the extra space on top of the car to pack a roof carrier. My last car had the racks but for some reason my 2018 Mazda Cx-5 did not come with them. Talked to the dealer who wanted to charge close to $1,000 to put on the rack and cross bar. Searched the web and this seemed like the best buy for the combined items, which was an advantage to not have to mix and match purchases. There were no reviews yet but I was willing to try or the price and convenience of receiving quickly from Amazon. We were not disappointed. These are high quality pieces that were easy to put on the car. A few things. There were limited, poorly written directions so we went online and found a youtube video to help. The screws are very small and we did not have a magnetized electric screwdriver, so there was some frustration with trying to get the screws in right. If you have the right tools, this woule be a very quick install. As it was, it only took us about an hour to install -- quick, easy, and works perfectly. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • Solid rack, great customer service
The instructions are OK, but a search of YouTube found a couple of good explanations. I installed the rails with little problem, but starting the screws is very tedious. It's easier if you place the screws with needle nose pliers or tweezers, then thread them in with the supplied torx driver. Unfortunately, my package arrived without the necessary screws and rubber gaskets needed to install the crossbars, but the supplier was very responsive and the missing parts were delivered from China in 2 days. Again the screws on the crossbar are a little tedious to install. Make sure you assemble the crossbars and position them first before tightening and screws. I have one minor complaint: I wish the screw heads had been painted. My rails and crossbars are black and the silver screw heads are noticeable. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I especially liked the black shiny finish of the side rails. It perfectly matched the black paint trim of the car. The crossbars have a matte finish and anre aerodynamically designed. It took me 20 minutes put on the side rails and about an hour and a half altogether. There’s not a lot of bolts but some of them are in tricky places and if you have an extension for a Torx bit, it will save you some time.     • Nice Rack! Mostly Easy Install
Side rails were very easy to install. Just follow instructions or watch a youtube installation video first. Cross bars are a bit snug, which is good. You may have to place them forward and then nudge them into place. The only negative is the screws that hold the cross bars in place. They are difficult to reach and work with without a flexible adapter. I did it, but it too as long to do the screws as the entire rest of the install. I suggest you get the correct size hex bit, and a flexible adapter for screw driver to speed things up considerably. ... show more

I watched a few YouTube videos showing how easy these were to install, and with the great pricing, I decided to get some for my 2021 Cx-5. I was quite surprised to see what a great quality these are for the price, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade without factory pricing. My only complaint is the instructions. They are very vague and left out a VERY important part. There are plastic screws installed in the rails that use a different size Torx than the one provided. MOST people do not have Torx drivers in their toolbox and it would be good to know. Also, it would be much easier to take them out of the rails BEFORE you install the rails. If you don't, its tedious work that ended up with a few small scratches on roof of my car. Had i not already installed the caps, I would have just taken the rail off to get the screws out. This alone made me want to leave a 1 star review, but I'm not that guy. These are good quality and deserve a good rating. ... show more

I had a really hard time with these roof rails. The left side went on beautifully, no issues. The right side....I think my right one was not completely straight, because it did not seem to fit at all like the left one did. It did not seem to have enough curve in it to sit flush. The rear end would not go down like it was supposed to at all. I had to go buy longer bolts in order to attach the side rails. Since it was so raised up the bolts that came with it wouldn't reach to start threading. It took me like 4 hours to get one side rail installed because of this. Extremely frustrating! Update 6/17/22 The seller sent out replacement side rails. The new one fit perfectly and had no issues. 1st one was just a dud, but seller did good on fixing the issue. Got the crossbars on easily too without problems. The roof rack is very sturdy and seems very durable and high quality material.
