good quality ez to install the clamp system works on a wedge design . you can feel the bolt bottom out . it is tight plenty tight........ the bad part is the rubber top strip is hollow and ressess in to the beam making it usless .. i will be ordering some rubber belting to attach to the top of the beams. the rubber is to help keep the load from shifting its a must

The instructions provided are a complete waste. The video on the web site is almost as bad. I read reviews of people having problems with these. However, they are easily installed. First, don't remove the screws. Just loosen them to the max. Then install the ends to the bar and place on the roof. Align the bar where you want it and remove the bar assembly. Now tighten the ends to the bar. Some say they had trouble with the rubber insert. It's a little long, but that is good as it will probably shrink over time. Even the rubber on each end and use a flat blade screwdriver to tuck into the ends while installing the end caps. The keys are pretty, but not needed as a flat blade screwdriver works just fine. The mfg says not to install the bars over the removable roof panels, but thats ok if you don't remove the panels while the bars are installed. Check the bottom of the Amazon page for photos of the crossbars over the removable tops. Carefully snap the covers on and your done. The covers easily come off for storage of the bars when not wanted. I must admit the bars enhance my Jeeps looks. Update! I lashed several things to the crossbars on a long trip. When I returned I discovered that the rubber inserts don't provide any protection. The black coating on the crossbars had worn off exposing bare metal. Had to touch up with flat black spray paint. But I still like them. Just be prepared to touch them up after use.

It’s a great roof rack for the price. Easy to install, I first assembled the crossbars with the end parts. Then I loosened the bolts with an Allen wrench. I had someone helped me place it on the top of my Jeep and adjusted it using a tape measure to make sure that the crossbars over hang evenly on both sides. I followed the measurements from the instructions of how far each racks are from the front removable top, which I believe is 7inch and 34.5inch. Then I tightened the bolts and done. Super easy!

The instructions were horrible and unclear - took far too long to get these installed due to silly minor reasons. The video on the product page was much better but still inaccurate. I had two stripped pieces that make the item unable to be fully installed, so the arms can move laterally, which is a problem. I emailed them directly to see if they can send me the parts to fix it. I tried to work this through Amazon but the AI just kept making me return the whole thing. It will work for my purposes if I get the replacement parts I need. We'll see if this review generate a response.

I installed the roof rack a few days ago. I found it easy to install and it looks good on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I am using it for the first time next week to haul a kayak on a camping trip. I don't think I will have any issues with it as it seems very sturdy and solid. A word of advice: After establishing the width of the racks take them off and then tighten the bolts that are underneath. Then reinstall. It will save a lot of frustration.
