This gets sore spots deeply and you can adjust it to stay in one area or massage your full back. It is very relaxing and loosens tight areas. I've been trapped on Zoom calls since COVID. After a long day of sitting my back hurts. Also getting older. I've been thinking about getting some sort of massage chair but they just seem too inexpensive and not sure they are durable. Decided to buy the Snailax Shiatsu Massage Cushion with Heat Massage Chair Pad. The price was under $100 and figured I didn't have much too lose if it didn't work out (compared to the price of some massage chairs). I've found that this works better sitting upright on my sofa as opposed to sitting on a regular chair. With a regular chair you sit upright and it's difficult to relax. This is a strong machine and it's worked great for the past too months. I've been expecting something to snap and stop working, but so far so good. The brand name and logo for this device is just plain weird. Who thought "Snailax" was a good name. And then a big logo of a snail (ewww) to go along with it? But beyond that, it works great. The vibrating seat part is fine, the heat isn't that warm....but the star of the show is the Shiatsu Massage for your back....especially the lower back....just what I needed after a long day. ... show more

I have used this for about three days now and my back seems feeling more relaxed and flexible. The massaging/shiatsu function is very strong, so you may need to use the options they list so it doesn't kill you - but other than that - the heat, massage and everything else is great. I'm hoping it will help with chronic back pain. ... show more

I've dealt with tight back and neck muscles for years and I have all sorts of gadgets, tools and massagers to help combat it. However, this is the best massager I've used hands down! Massage guns can be awkward and tiring to hold and you can't easily get to your back yourself. I also have a back and neck massager that is a strap and you hold with your hands/arms. That's better but then you have to contort your arms to get it in the various spots along your back. However, the Snailax Shiatsu Massage Cushion does the work for you! You just set it up on a chair, sit on it and turn it on. It really does all the work for you. It will go up and down your back for you - kneading you back the entire time. There are different functions you can select like just on your upper or lower back. It even has a spot feature to have the massager focus on a specific area. While doing that, you can have your tush and back legs massaged with the vibrational cushion. All of this plus heat. I've only had this a couple of weeks but I have already noticed huge improvements in my neck and shoulders. If you have a chronically tight neck or back and find it hard to get to all the spots, I strongly recommend this massager. I love it so much, I got one for my dad for Christmas. ... show more

This is a 2 week review. Using this chair/pad thing is not easy. Sure, you can sit on it in a chair, but the pressure will vary depending on how you sit, or the angle of the chair. To get a consistent pressure I have to lean forward and back as it moves up and down my spine. This does not help relax me, as i am constantly moving. What I discovered is that for me the Steeper the angle i use it on, the better it works. I managed to set it up so I am leaning forward and it presses onto my back from the weight of a heavy blanket and a pillow compressed between it and the chair. This position lets me relax the most, and i dont have to move as much to get good pressure. Things I dont like: The vibration on the seat is almost useless. The only time i enjoy it is when I use the seat alone as a pillow and vibrate just my head and neck. The heat function is also not useful for me. The pressure flap that it comes with makes the heat unnoticeable. Without the pad the pressure is painful. Things I like: The massage can feel amazing if you get it situated right! If you lay the pad flat and lay on it scooted down lower you can get a great massage of the upper shoulder, neck, and head. (cover it with a towel to transfer pressure to the back of the neck arch) Things i noticed: If i only use it 15-30 min a day then my muscles wont get "massage sore" and i can take the hard pressure better. When i used it for an hour the first 2 days i had it, the third and fourth days were very painful and hard to get comfortable. The chair works best when targeting the upper and lower back separately. When i use the FULL option I have to lean and move 5-10x more often. if you get sweaty when using it, the pressure flap wipes clean very easily. I find that longer duration with lower pressure (an extra towel as padding) works the best for me. I get crazy dehydrated after using this massage chair, so drink lots of water before and after! If i want a butt/low low back massage I just sit on a towel and it does decent. So far i haven't found a great position for massaging the sciatica. TLDR: The product is good but takes getting used to, the vibration only chair might be better for me. ... show more

I used my seat massager immediately upon receiving it. I never used a seat massager before, but I guess I was missing something. A very nice back massage. Worth the money!
