I am an engineer and was looking for a new mug that kept drinks cold much longer than my old mug. I purchased this SMLIXE 16oz mug along with a HAUSHOF 16oz mug and a Thermos King 16oz mug from Amazon so I could compare which was best. All of these are double-wall vacuum insulated stainless mugs with handles and lids. I tested all three mugs at the same time with the same procedure to directly compare how well they kept an identical drink cold. I first chilled all three mugs along with three 12oz cans of soda in my refrigerator overnight. I then poured a soda into each mug and let them sit on the kitchen counter without their top for the test. Room temperature was about 74F. I measured the temperature in each cup with the same precision thermomenter. All three cups started at 38 F. Here is what I recorded. All times are in minutes and all temperatures are in degrees F. Time SMILXE HAUSHOF THERMOS ------------------------------------------------------ 0 38F 38F 38F 20 41F 40F 39F 40 43F 41F 40F 65 45F 43F 42F 80 ??? 44F 43F After 65 minutes the SMILXE mug temperature increased 7F while the other two mugs increased about 4F. I stopped testing the SMILXE mug (drank the soda) at that time as it was clearly not the winner, and the soda was getting 'hot' by my standards. The test shows the Thermos and HAUSHOF are basically identical in performance, increasing about 5.5F in 80 minutes. Pros: The SMLIXE mug is cheaper and smaller than the other two I tested. If you drink fairly fast you will not see much temperature difference between these three mugs. The smaller size is more likely to fit in cup holders than the HAUSHOF. The SMLIXE also comes in more colors than the other two mugs. Cons: I have large hands and the small (thin) closed handle on the SMLIXE mug was cramped and not as comfortable as the larger open handles on the other two mugs. The SMLIXE mug did not keep drinks as cold as long as the other two mugs. Don't get me wrong. The SMLIXE mug is not bad, it is just not a top performer in the category I consider most important (temperature). I tried to discuss all issues I observed since your priorities likely vary from mine.

I absolutely love these mugs! They are simple, do the job, and lightweight! I use them daily. The size is perfect to hold enough coffee with room for some whipping cream and caramel drizzle! (I like em’ fancy!) I would like to point out, while it does keep it warm for a long time, it’s not as long as some other brands. But at that point, I have to ask why have you not finished your cup of coffee yet? :) For the value these are fantastic mugs, they will do the job, and keep your liquids hot/cold! I even bought a set for my parents to have in their camper. They love them too!

Have used 3 of the 4 thus far. As I pulled out #2 to wash before using, the handle snapped off immediately. The handles are the reason I purchased. My mother has diabetic neuropathy and has been progressively having issues with regular cups. The handle and lid, along with the lower profile as opposed to the large insulated cups we purchased locally, we're my main draws. If we had not already used some of the others, I would have sought a replacement package. The broken cup itself will still be usable, just ineffective for why I bought it. Still left a 3-star review because the others are what I needed.

I’m really enjoying my new rose gold mug! The lid is plastic, but I’ve found it to be sturdy and airtight. It’s so nice to have my coffee stay hot for the next hour (with the lid on). The color of the mug is beautiful, and it seems very well made. It’s the perfect size - bigger than a standard mug, but I can still easily hold it in my small hands! The only thing I would change is that the handle is squared off on the edges, and it can hurt my hand after awhile. I’m thinking about getting a styrofoam piece for it.

This is a great choice if you’re looking to keep a hot cup of coffee at your side at home or work. Look, I love a traditional cup & saucer or mug, but I’ve grown tired of needing to microwave lukewarm coffee multiply times. I was resistant to even looking for an insulated mug. I invested in several commuter mugs before finding the right fit - no spills but required manipulation to sip.. I have tried insulated glass mugs which were extremely vulnerable to breakage & didn’t keep my coffee as hot as I’d like. I don’t need a spill-proof mug at home - just something simple to keep my coffee hot. This is itI Simple, no logos, tasteful - the closest thing I’ve found to a simple mug that keeps my coffee hot. Within a couple of days I ordered two more for friends.

The mornings are always a rush to get out the door on time, used to have to skip my coffee, but not anymore. It is easy to carry, keeps it hot for quite awhile (never had a cold cup), and best of all doesn't leak. I'm all in on this product. I bought my son one for his hot chocolaty as well.

I like a cup that holds a lot of coffee and is easy to wash by hand. I can just reach the bottom of this cup with a dish sponge and the simple lid is easy to get clean. The painted finish on the handle has flaked off quite a bit, no flaking from most of the cup. The lid doesn't seal tightly at first, I always have to be on my guard for drips. It seems to tighten up a little after it's been on for a few minutes, but when I first fill it with hot coffee, it actually pops open a few times. Maybe the rubber ring expands and/or softens as it warms up.
