I love this rack. Install was easy and straight forward. For some reason Amazon fitments says it won't fit my 2022 Jeep JLU Rubicon 4xE but I can confirm it fit with no issue. I did need to leave the plastic trim off the clamps in the rain gutter, or else it did slightly interfere with rear doors opening. ... show more

Good rack, could’ve come with better hardware. The rubber pads on the clamps catch the passenger door seal. I ended up cutting the outer part off with a scalpel. I also cut the length of the adjuster studs by about ¾” so I could put acorn nuts on.

Love my roof rack! It's perfect for carrying golf bags or what ever you need. Easy to assemble. It does take 2 people to install but it's very easy to do. It makes my jeep look even more beefy.

    • The bolts are not good
I am afraid to put this on my Jeep the bolts seem horrible and will come loose , not the greatest quality at all.

    • Only issue is the front brackets
The front bracket bumpers hit the door when closing. NOt that bad but if you have kids I could see it getting annoying.

Mixed feelings on this purchase. Some pros and cons - listed below - but had to ding from a 4/4.5 to a 2.5/3 due to damage at arrival (see pics). Ultimately I could have sent it back for a replacement from Amazon or the manufacturer at no cost, but I had to weigh the additional inconvenience, time delays and the fact I was literally at my buddy's place ready to install it when we opened the package and discovered the damage. So I decided to install. We mostly straightened out the cargo ring - it's not perfectly straight but it's good enough and still structurally very sound. The repair is more in sanding the damaged area and spray painting with a weather/rust proof coating. Won't be a perfect match to the powder coat but won't be able to notice such a small spot with the right Matte Black. Shouldn't be a huge job, but it is also a job I shouldn't have to do. Whole thing kinda takes the "new car smell" away from my 1st Jeep after-market accessory experience. Pros: Overall it is a sturdy, attractive rack Connects to your JLU without the need to drill holes Does not interfere with Freedom tops in any way Relatively easy installation Cons: Arrived damaged (duh) Instructions are of terrible pixel quality so makes installation less straightforward (this is where we're saving a few pennies?) Installation will almost certainly result in some scratches / paint damage to your hard top; probably more blame here goes to Jeep than Smitty, but still kinda sucks ... show more
