Visit the Store Company founder Wayne Smith Founder Wayne Smith made his way to New Zealand while fishing his way across the South Pacific in a sailboat. As a passionate fly fisher with a flair for innovation, Wayne began designing the premium fly fishing gear that became the core of the Smith Creek brand. In a world that seems more complicated every day, there is a meditative beauty about getting out on the water and immersing yourself in nature. Smith Creek products are designed to free up your hands, keep your gear in easy reach and keep our waters clean. The original wearable fishing rod holder. Smith Creek's patented design holds your rod securely out of the way, leaving your hands free. When you need both hands to change a fly, swap lures, bait up, or show off that trophy, Smith Creek's Rod Clip keeps your rod out of the way, but within easy reach. The Smith Creek Rod Clip is a wearable fishing rod holder that holds your fishing rod so that your hands are free to tie on a fly, change a lure, bait a hook or show off that trophy fish you've just landed. It holds your rod securely and out of the way and it can’t be accidentally knocked free. Besides keeping grit out of your reel, Rod Clip also keeps your outfit above the salt out of the mud. And finally, no more having to lay your rod on the ground while releasing a fish!
