This light is fantastic, all the way around this light can't be beat for the price. The 6 adjustable channels are easy to tune and has a 1-100 scale for total control. The fan is considerably quiet if inside a canopy or a few feet away. If this light is in your office like me (only about 3 feet away) it's a little loud, but it doesn't bother me. The lights kick on after any channel is set over 25% to keep heat down and to preserve the life of the LEDs, so I can't really complain. The worst part about this light is the mounting arm, which isn't actually that terrible. It does require a little bit of modification (4 washers and some tape) and it's good to go in my opinion. I have dealt with much worse in my time. The good news is that I've contacted SMAT farms and they're working on a 2nd gen arm that they sent me a picture of and it looks much better. It's similar to other industry standard arms and should be a significant upgrade. From the negative (1-2 star reviews) a few of those problems are easily fixable. I don't understand how someone has a purple light. There's 2 white, 2 blue, 1 purple, 1 green channel. The blues completely overpower the purple (as they should) if you turn them up. For as cheap as it is, the timing settings are pretty solid. Some people have mixed them with Apex controllers to get full functionality out, personally I think the onboard timer is enough for me. You can set your full brightness time with a ramp up/down on either end. It even holds this setting if the power goes out. All in all, for the $135-150 this light will cost you, it's worth every penny. I'm planning on putting 4 on my 200 gallon and I'll be coming back with updates. Currently my SPS are reacting well to the light as well as getting great colors out of my zoa colonies. I'm still taking it slow on acclimating my corals up from the stock EVO light, but I haven't had any problems so far. ... show more

Outstanding light. Very bright with timer, light adjustments. Including color adjustments. You do have to play with TBE settings vs due to minimum instruction s of color adjustments. Go to you tube. I purchased another for my 70 gallon you can connect them through WI first and one acts as a slave. Great price ... show more

I’ve been in the feeding hobby for 18 years and definitely bang for the buck. Packaging and unboxing was on point. Light output is amazing and bright and 100% adjustable. Creating my own light schedule was easy except for “saving” what I programmed. Had to do it about 3 times before it saved. Other than that, coral is happy, fish are happy, tank looks bright and brings out the colors. Also the bracket/mount is probably the best and sturdiest compared to top tier lights. Definitely will buy more. Quiet and sleek. Shopping was next day. Would have given 5 star if saving “light schedule “ wasn’t a little better explained. New to the hobby or not, definitely a light strong enough to grow any coral. ... show more

Wow, what great light. I bought 2 of these and they were so easy to set up. I set up one and then designated the second as the "slave" and that made it so easy to light the aquarium. I used their default timing, intensity, and colors. The tank is just beautiful. They have been on my mixed coral tank for just 2 days, and I can see the difference already in my corals. I read the reviews about issues with attaching it to various rims and needing to possibly modify the tank rim. All I did was mount the attachment 180 degrees from what the "common" mount method. It's pretty well priced compared to competitors and produces a good amount of light. It's working well for my 29 gallon softie/LPS tank. The controls are fairly easy to use and it's nice that everything can be done on the device without an app or the cloud. The mount could use a little work, as it hangs out pretty far past the middle of my tank even at the shortest setting. Though it does fit on my rimmed tank without too much isdue ... show more

So for 84$, this light really is nice. I purchased 2 to go over a 55 gallon reef tank, mostly lps with some sps, and some soft, mostly lps. Here are pros and cons: Pro: it has a built in timer and automatic sunset and sunrise function saves you the extra timer and controller mess. They are super quiet and highly customizable to the colors that you want. I haven’t had them long enough to review coral growth but will come back and update but these things get bright. I don’t have a par meter to test but they get bright so bright my soft, acans, and mushrooms closed during testing. If you buy two side by side they automatically sync. You can control 6 channels. Cons: mounting hardware absolutely sucks. Best to get your engineering hat out and make /modify a way. There are no instructions, but there are videos in the questions section that cover everything. This is a con because usually there are instructions that come with products. There is not par or output graph, no recommended mount height nothing. For the sunset setting you literally have to set it to 0% for all of the channels to turn off or you will have lights all night. Overall, for the freaking price, I’d purchase these over expensive AIs / Kessil or overly marked up reef lights because these lights have all of the functionality of others with a built in controller. If you can get creative with mounting options, these are way worth it. There is no reason you should have to spend 500+ on a freaking reef lighting system, none at all. AI and Kessil probably use the same LEDs and yet continue to rip people off. We are not in this hobby to mindlessly drain our bank accounts. 4 stars. ... show more
