Finding the app was a pain, app uses different name than the product. They give you a link that doesn't work. Difficult to get alexa to recognize the plug because they all have the same exact name

I love these plugs they allow me to control things in my home using my Google Home app and devices. I have in the past set them up on a schedule which is done on the app used to install them however they have reset themselves on their own I'm not sure what causes it but at some point it stops running the schedule. I use mine for my fish tanks so it's frustrating for me and the fish when it stops working properly. The rest of the functions work fine. ... show more

I can use my EchoShow to control my lights with a voice command to Alexa. I plan to use one plug for my air purifier and one for my television. Not too complicated to add the lamps, etc. to the ap suggestion and then to the EchoShow where I can rename them and voice control them.

Even I figured out how to get these programmed. Reminder - only works on appliances with a hard on/off function (ie didn’t work with Keurig given you have to press a button on the machine to turn on)

Set up was a breeze. Worked flawlessly. Note: You must have 2.4Ghz WiFi to connect. Other then that, you're good to go. Connected Alexa via amazon.com, renamed my plug to something easier to say to Alexa and that's it.

I have a total of seven (7) of these smart plugs and have been using them for about four years now. For most of that time, they worked just fine. But sadly, over the years, more of them have started to become unreliable. Randomly, one or more of the seven plugs will simply drop the signal to the WiFi and go offline, and some report a weak signal even when they are close to the access point. I will either have to unplug and re-plug the device to get it to work again, or reboot my router. This happens to a random number of my plugs (sometimes one, sometimes more) at any given time. Thinking that this was an issue with my network switch or wireless access point, I upgraded my home network to the latest gear (this time opting for enterprise-level equipment as I am also a networking professional). I am using a TP Link Omada Switch and Ubiquiti AP Pro now, which is great for my home networking experience as a whole, but the problem has persisted with these switches. Sadly, my patience has run out and I will be retiring all seven of my smart plugs today and have ordered replacements from another manufacturer. I am happy I got four solid years out of them, however! Such is the nature of technology I guess... always be prepared to move on when something better is on the horizon. ... show more

First time around I received the longer smaller faced set (model YX-WS02B). I could not get them to connect to the cloudintelligence app or alexa. I followed the directions that they came with word for word and tried multiple youtube videos, outlets etc. It seems like they recently switched phone applications from smart life - smart living app to cloudintelligence - as that is what all the you tube videos showed. I was ready to return them but reached out to the company that makes them first - I heard back within 1 day. After a little troubleshooting, they said they would send me out a new product and to not worry about sending the current ones back. The replacement came within 2 days - and was a different model (model YX-WS01) - With the new product I was able to VERY VERY easily connect to both my wifi/phone app and alexa. If you are having any trouble with failed connections, things timing out, etc when trying to pair --- contact the company! I spent way too much time trying to troubleshoot it myself only to find out I don't think that original product would have connected no matter what I would have tried. The product itself - great functionality and customizations (you can set schedules) unfortunately I wish it was a little smaller in size. However - you can still fit another normal sized plug-in in the other outlet if vertical, but not horizontal. Also - your wifi must be 2.4 Ghz or it will not work. I have not tried to turn the sockets on/off while not at home, but when I disconnect from wi-fi on my phone (and switch to data) it does still allow me to turn the sockets on/off. Hope this helps!! Steps for set up 1 - download cloudintelligence app, make account/login 2 - plug in socket into outlet (blue light will turn on). 3 - hold power button for ~5 second - blue light will start blinking 4 - In app - on My Home screen click + sign in upper righthand corner 5 - Socket should automatically pop up in the auto discover window. Edit name/location and you're done! 6 - Each time I set up a new socket my alexa alerted me that it had discovered it automatically. Then you can just say "Alexa, turn on "----" (whatever you named it) ... show more
