I got this to use it on my front door, as the kids used to forget to lock the already available deadbold with keypad. Push the button lock and go, kids are so forgetful nowdays. This is a latch lock with fingerprint, key pad, keyfob and also manual key. Most of the time it is always fingerprint that is configured. It is just another latch lock, but is good. Very smooth, and feels solid on hand. I got other locks too, but did not fit, as the door has a dead bolt on the top and the latch on the bottom. I think it is just the builders preference. With the latch being at the bottom, these new smart locks always a tall upper body and a very small lower part from the key slot. These type do not fit correctly. If tightened, it will start to buckle from the top. So, they are not good for front doors. But this HEANTLE door lock has the key slot placed at 40% of it body height. So, it was easy option for me to pick. Also as there is a screw hole on the bottom part and sides, it really held up against the door nicely in spite of really strong tightening. did not buckle. I really did not want to use this, as this required a different smart app, which will be another extra app in my phone, credentials to deal with. But fortunately, as I already have 3 more smart locks with Sifely, I tried using it, and to my surprise, I could easily connect over bluetooth and configure it. Configuration was easy, but I had to make all my family members, fingerprint once again. I think this is a suggestion for the app improvement. We should be able to create a family group and add all users to it, so that when I change locks, it will be a easy transition. But all in all, this smart lock works good. also finger print is on the handle, which makes it very unnoticeable to a stranger. Else some locks have finger print on the top, and it is very easy to notice that you used you finger print and later opened it, which I feel may be a security issue, if you live in a not so neighborhood. I am totally satisfied. Some cons I see is, to me the lock felt like it was used. The screw holes seemed damaged, and the front had some scratches. But still I went ahead and fixed it. Some of the remaining things I still need to check are, the inside of the lock, as a QR code, I scanned it and it directed to a different app. As I did not use the recommended app, I am not sure, if someone can still use the QR code and connect to it, as an Admin, but I am already an admin on that smart lock with a different app. Hope this kind of security issue is taken care. But I need to test this ASAP, it this fails, I may need to retuen.

The look and feel of the lock are top notch, even better than I had hoped for. My only issue with the physical part of the lock is the battery cover. It’s plastic with a plastic V-shaped latch that makes it the cheapest looking part of the lock. The one advantage of that design is that no tools are needed to change the batteries. But since the batteries are said to last a year, I don’t think that’s as important as the flimsy plastic latch. Better to use a screw or two to secure the cover plate. Installation instructions were good, and it was in place and secure in about 15 minutes. Using the app to set up passcodes, I hit a snag when I tried to add codes. There are a couple of screens that could use some tweaking. After selecting, ‘add passcodes’ the next screen has only one button, which reads ‘generate code’. After selecting that, the next screen defaults to a mode where the system creates a 9-digit computer generated code, which is not what I want. It took some experimentation with every selection at the top of the window to find the desired setting. By choosing the ‘custom’ option, fields are added to allow addition of a name and 4-8 digit code. That should be the default setting. After setting up a few passcodes, I went to the lock and tried entering them, but nothing happened. No unlocking. No response of any kind. I called the tech support number and left a voicemail. Within an hour I got an email and a phone call with the solution. After entering a passcode, the # sign must be pressed to initiate unlocking. Because I was used to using a Schlage combo lock, which only accepts 4-digit codes, I was used to having the unlocking activate immediately after putting in the fourth digit. So pressing the # sign is necessary to activate this lock. That should be stated in both the app and the printed installation manual. Now that i know the secret of how to use passcodes, I’m more than pleased with the new lock. It looks good, works well, and with the app, I no lomger have to go out in the cold to add new users and codes.

We purchased 2 of these locks for our Airbnb rentals. The Florida salt is hard on locks & everything else, but these have been working great! Easy installation too! We purchased the gateway as well, so we could change codes for our guests using the WiFi. We had a bit of a problem getting started but the customer service help was very prompt & answered our questions quickly. I would definitely recommend these, very easy to use.

Simple question: Where can you find a lock that has ALL the features of this amazing lock for under $100.?? NOWHERE! Seriously, when you can unlock in person, wirelessly, with bluetooth, with wifi, with a key, with a keypad? And also let a person adjust different parameters on a few selections. I AM IMPRESSED. I am an Electronic Tech and it leaves me with a good feeling. PLUS I could not pass up this discounted price. ADDENDUM DEC 27, 2023 I am loving this lock except for one little problemo: It is very picky when examining a person's fingerprint. You MUST place your finger almost exactly the same position as when you recorded it. It is very sensitive. I hope to overcome this difficulty by recording myself as 5 different people. That way it will give me 5 chances at a PASS from the lock's brain. Has anyone else tried this I wonder?
