I was a little afraid it wouldn't work with the lamp (regular desk lamp), but the set up was easy and it's worked great this whole time. The colors are nice and easy to customize. I love the option to change the brightness and it comes with some fun color scenes. Be certain, you have a dual band router for this light. I have Cox cable with their panoramic Wi-Fi, and it is only 5.0 MHz, not 2.4 MHz. Be certain your router has a 2.4 MHz channel.

If you've tried various brands of smart bulbs, you know it can be a real pain to set them up. This one is so basic which is what I was looking for. No "turning on and turning off" the light over and over again. No trying to connect to the smart bulb's network through Bluetooth and switching back to your wifi and switching back to the bulb, etc. It literally took 2 minutes to connect the bulbs to my app, wifi, and Alexa.
