Pick your own family calendar! This is just like a Skylight or Hearth digital calendar, except you can use any calendar app you want from the Google Play store. You can pop on a weather or music app if you like, too. Or YouTube or Netflix, or Home Assistant. Whatever applies to your situation. If you’re planning on getting a huge digital calendar, this is a great value for the money. The touch screen is easy to use and looks crisp. No noticeable lag. Using it makes me feel like I’m on the Starship Enterprise. Swipe swipe tap tap. Make it so. When you add an event to a calendar, the onscreen keyboard shows up, just like with any Android tablet. It’s essentially a gigantic touchscreen tablet designed to be mounted on a wall. Here’s my setup. I have the 21.5 inch with the light “wood” frame. (The wood tone is some sort of wood grain-look wrap stretched around a frame made of, I think, plywood. Looks fine. It seems cleanable, which is a plus.) I have it mounted horizontally on a sturdy desktop monitor/tv stand. That way I don’t worry about it crashing off a wall. I carefully peeled off the brand lettering with no problem. It’s a central hub in my kitchen now. If you tend to be disorganized or forget upcoming events (hello ADHD?), this might really help you get organized. I feel much more at ease since I can just look and see what is coming up. I don’t have to keep asking people and then forgetting. With the large screen size, you can see the calendar much better than on a tiny phone screen. And it’s very practical to have a central hub where everyone can look to see everyone else’s schedules. Chore charts and routines too! You can use them on yourself as an adult, just saying. Overall, highly recommended, especially if you can find one on sale.

This is a very cool home management tool. I'll describe some of how it works and you'll know if it's something you need. First, this is basically a giant phone running Android OS. This means it is completely integrated with the Google ecosystem. If you're already a Google user, this is a fantastic thing. If you're super into Apple, there will be a learning curve and limited compatibility. The screen is as bright as you want it to be. The sound is adequate. Though this could function as a monitor for watching YouTube or movies or whatever, that's not really the intent. The sound is more than enough for dings and notices. This is fantastic for integrated multi-user Google calendars. This also works with any number of list apps, WhatsApp, texting apps (that don't require a SIM card), and just about every other app you can use on your phone. This comes preloaded with a couple different meal planning apps though if you had a personal favorite already, you could download it and log in here and since nearly everything syncs, you could plan your meals on the train on your way home and the info for the week would be here on your new calendar, too. The To Do apps available for things like dividing chores would be perfect for families. Aesthetically, it comes with a mounting armature and frame to make it look a little more classy. I ended up not using the frame because I like the sleek modern look of the device without it. The armature is adequate but really minimal quality. I have similar armatures that I use in my podcast studio for holding monitors and they're better quality. This does the job. As you can see from the photos, this sticks out from the wall a few inches which is just fine for my use but if you don't have room or are replacing a paper calendar, this will look different. It's just something to know. This has USB and HDMI ports on the back for in/output. This whole thing is very versatile. Oh, something worth noting, there is no camera included with this. You could add a USB camera if you wanted to but there isn't one included. This only matters if you need to scan a QR code for syncing some apps. I'll share my specific uses in case this sparks something for you. I run a small business where my employees work from home with clients. I can see all their calendars on this. I can also set several international clocks on it so I know what time it is in the various places where I have employees or clients. Like a phone, this has a home screen that slides to have other screen layouts. My next layout is a task layout so I can see what everyone is working on. This would work with family tasks, too. The next screen has my food apps which I'm still learning. These can also work with a shopping list which I tend to use my phone to update but it syncs here, anyway. Oh, I also have the Ring app on this so I can see outside my front door at all times. It comes with a remote which has a really accurate pointer built in. It's handy but I end up just using the touchscreen nearly all the time. This is extremely configurable and versatile. The build quality is good. The screen is good. The touch is responsive. The software is a standard. Overall, I'm really happy with how they built this much quality into this for the price. I can't say that a calendar for this price is ideal for everyone but it is certainly ideal for some of us. This one works really well. I'm happy to have it.

This thing is big. I thought I measured 32" and felt good about it. However, once I got it, oh my. It's big. And heavy. The mounting hardware was not up to the job of mounting this to the wall. We had to go with stuff from the hardware store. Plan for that. OK, size aside, it works. It works well. Input and layout through the app works nicely. The app integrates well with it. Remote control works nicely. Touch screen is very responsive. I mean, it does everything it says it does and it does it pretty nicely. I found the graphics to be a little distracting from the information, but not overly so. Fantastic functionality. It's the weight of it that concerns me. It's just heavy. I worry over time it might fall off the wall. We'll see how it goes. In the mean time, it works.

After using the digital calendar for a few weeks, I can confidently say it’s more than just a fancy wall calendar — it’s become the central hub of our home.
