I picked these up mostly to add a bit of ambient color behind the TV, but they’ve turned out to be one of the more versatile little upgrades I’ve made to my setup in a while. From the segmented color controls to the very slick app integration, they hit that sweet spot where fun meets functional. Whether I’m reading, watching a movie, or just listening to music, I’ve found myself using them more often than I expected. My Rubric ✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point ➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper ❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopper My star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5 star system are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Most LED strips just cycle a single color or maybe fade between them, but this one lets you assign different colors to each small section. It’s a subtle but significant upgrade if you enjoy layered lighting or want more control over mood and tone. I’ve used it under my bar counter, behind the headboard, and along the back of a desk. Each time it’s been easy to trim and install, and the app lets me make each zone feel distinct. Voice control worked without issue through Alexa, and the scenes in the AiDot app offer a nice range of moods. I will say, the music sync worked well enough, especially with anything upbeat, but mellower tracks didn't always register the same effect. Still, for an LED strip in this price range, the whole package feels like good value. I’ve used a few other brands in the past, and this one edges ahead in terms of user experience and flexibility. This light strip is a fun device, with lots of flexibility driven by the AiDot app. I got this 10' strip to wrap around the mounting bracket for my largest TV. That was easy to do, and it plugged into a spare outlet behind the TV, so it's all hidden. Note that it is a 120V device, not USB. There is an inline switch, and the strip started working as soon as I turned it on. Nice! The mode that it came up in had it reacting to sounds in the environment. If I clapped my hands it would flash and change color. Its light is really cool coming from the back of the TV, where the strip itself is totally hidden. It's very bright if you want it to be. For a long time I didn't connect with the AiDot app; I was happy with what it was doing out of the box. But I've downloaded the app and connected it to wifi, which was uneventful and easy. The app provides a lot of flexibility, and lets you be an artist with it if you want to be. When I was connecting the device to AiDot, I noticed that there is a product specifically for the back of a TV. I don't know it's particulars, but that's how I'm using this one.

The media could not be loaded. First, Linkind products are STELLAR. If they make it, I'd buy it. I have numerous Linkind lighting products in my home. I have yet to be disappointed. This product is no different. I ordered this for an old tv in my bedroom. I have learned these backlights are fantastatic for reducing eye glare from flat screen tvs. While this is a fairly "basic" light strip from Linkind, it's still got a ton of great features. I use the AiDot app for all my Linkind products. It took all of five minutes to attach it and plug it in, and even less time to sync it to my app. It found it immediately. I had to do two clicks and it was ready to go. You have more choices than you can imagine for colors, sections, movement, including a timer. And controlable all from your phone. It also works with voice command units like Alexa. I haven't tried it with Google, but it shows up in my Google home app, too, so I'd imagine you can control it from their assistant, too. I live in an apartment with no overhead lighting at all. These various lighting solutions are so useful and you just get all the vibes. I'll never be able to say enough good things about this product line. They have a solution for everything - well, almost everything (I could use some uprights!). You simply can't go wrong. I got this smart light strip for my kitchen cabinets, and I couldn’t be happier with it. In terms of functionality, it’s versatile, flexible, configurable, bright, and dimmable. On a regular day, it gives my kitchen a modern and cozy ambiance. I also have special settings for movie nights and parties, plus pre-set scenes for Christmas, romance, Halloween, and more. I can control the color of each segment individually in a very easy and visual way through the app. The music synchronization feature is also really cool! Installation took me just 10 minutes. The app is simple to download and set up, and linking it with Alexa was done in no time.
