But I can’t figure out how to program my own number-pad code for unlocking. Directions are vague and when I go to set a number pad code through the app it gives me a random 8 digit code, however my memory is horrible and I’ll never be able to remember 8 random numbers. Maybe it’s user error, or maybe it’s not as smart as it should be, I don’t know… But as the title says, it has multiple ways to unlock. I bought this for my bedroom door after having a roommate issue. I am a water technician by trade and am working with water all day, 5x a week so depending on the day, my fingerprints are never consistent. For me that unlock feature doesn’t work well. But again, multiple ways to unlock. When buying this, I didn’t think that I would use the fob at all, but that is the main way I unlock it and what a breeze it is to just hold up my key ring without having to fumble with actual keys. Having the option to also unlock by key, if all else fails (including battery failure), has me sold on this lock. Hands down, I recommend this lock. Received my Zowill DK07 Digital Fingerprint Smart Lock today and after reading the instructions and looking at the videos, install took around 15 minutes and programing was another 10 minutes. I had already had a year old electronic key pad so this install was a direct fitment. There are many videos on install and programming so I will tell you what I like about this product. Once you have the products APP, everything is done through your smart phone. Once you register your product and establish your account, the app takes you through the required steps to complete. The instructions show you how to manually inout the keypad codes with the master codes, but that is not really required as the app does everything. Once your account is up and running, you can perform various items to your custom taste. One thing I really love about this key pad is that it locks automatically after you leave and return from the house. I programmed my lock to lock after 10 seconds. I programed my finger prints with my thumb and index finger and the setup was easy like the facial recognition on your smart phones. Key pad lock worked every time with the fingerprint lock. It is faster than punching in numbers on the keypad. While there are similar products like the DK07 I purchased, this product has the key pad numbers hidden until you touch the pad while others are openly visible. Another great feature is the mini IC cards that you just swipe on the pad to open or close the door and of course you can lock/unlock the door with the DD Lock app from your smart phone. I will probably use the fingerprint mode to open/lock door most of the time since it is more faster. But it is nice to also have two keys to insert the keypad and open/lock doors should battery die out maybe after a long vacation. Great product overall. ... show more

I was skeptical about getting an electronic lock, so I researched them. Eventually chose this one because it had the fingerprint feature and I wasn't too worried because the price was pretty low compared to the rest. We have had it about a month now, and it works great! Everyone in my family loves it (which says a lot.) It was very easy to install. My 15 year old son actually installed it (we already had a deadbolt, so we only had to remove it and install this one), but we could not get it to work. I read the instructions & realized there is a switch for the direction. Reset the switch & it worked great. Downloaded the software & realized I could have just switched the direction on the software without taking the lock back off again. ... show more

I purchased this door lock because I wanted to modern up our home a bit. This was one of the first products that came to mind. As soon as it came I was already impressed with it's build quality. The installation was fairly simple and quick. Once installed setting up was simple as well. I chose to use the finger print since it's easier if my hands are full. You can also use the app to unlock it before you get out of the car which is nice. It also has a setting to auto lock after a set time of your choice. I installed this lock to the front entrance of our house, mainly for our kids to be able to unlock the door and enter the house without having to give them a key (which they will lose/drop most likely). Fingerprint key and auto lock features are our favorites. I can also go walk my dog, pick up mail, go play with my kids outside without carrying a key, which is super convenient. Best feature being the finger print scanner it's extremely easy to install and operate.
